Head over to Brockhole in Windermere on December 1 <\/strong> and learn how to turn winter greenery and berries into a Christmas wreath.<\/p>\n

Life of a mountain \u2013 Blencathra<\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re not out and about on the fells, how about a watching a film showcasing one of the Lake District\u2019s most beloved fells \u2013 Blencathra.<\/p>\n

The film, by the award-winning outdoor filmmaker Terry Abraham, is being shown at Rhehed, Penrith, until December 31.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keswick is the setting for this atmospheric, candlelit Christmas celebration.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for an event to get you out and about, then this self-guided walk will be just the trick.<\/p>\n

Until December 31 <\/strong>, the quirky walk, which has a treasure hunt theme, will see you heading around the Auld Grey Town of Kendal and finding out fascinating stories about its history.<\/p>\n

What better place to soak up the atmosphere of a Christmas maket than in traditional Lake District towns?<\/p>\n

There are a number of markets taking place across the Lakes, where you\u2019ll find everything from local Cumbrian goodies and fantastic seasonal gifts too.\"what<\/p>\n

New for this year is the Windermere German Christmas Markets, which take place on December 10 and 11.<\/p>\n

And, the weekend of December 3 and 4 has lots of festive fun. There\u2019s the Hawkshead Christmas Fair and Beer Festival on Dec 3 and 4; the Traditional Keswick Christmas Fayre on December 4.<\/p>\n

The following weekend ( December 11) sees the Masons Arms Christmas Market at Cartmell Fell, near Bowland Bridge.<\/p>\n
