Just a short stroll from the centre of the popular Lake District town of Keswick is this wonderful, contemporary lodge, Skiddaw 22, offering four guests a beautiful base for their adventures. Built in a Scandinavian style with timber and boasting stunning feature windows, Skiddaw 22 also enjoys a reverse-level layout with stylish décor throughout. Be welcomed onto the ground floor to find the two bedrooms resting here, with the master king-size room boasting a sleek en-suite shower room to freshen up in, along with a TV in the bedroom for relaxing mornings in bed. The second bedroom comprises a twin layout and is served by the bathroom also found on the ground floor; discover a bath with a shower overhead, perfect for a long soak after a day of walking. Head upstairs to find a relaxing and social haven in the form of an open-plan living space, with natural light pouring in from the large, full-length windows. Relax in the sitting area on the plush sofas while you enjoy a film on the TV, afterwards gathering at the dining table for a delicious meal prepared in the amply equipped kitchen, home to an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher among the appliances. Enjoy mornings spent out on the balcony soaking up the sun in summer, and ending the day with an evening tipple and the sunset. The vibrant and lively town centre of Keswick is less than a mile away so you can stroll over to the local shops and supermarkets for all your essentials, as well as treat yourself to some wonderful evenings sampling the cuisine at the local restaurants and pubs before walking back to your lodge. This area is perfect for adventure seekers with many outdoor activities and watersports to choose from, with Keswick Adventure Centre offering everything from rock-climbing and abseiling to canoeing and paddle-boarding. Walkers can embark on outings up Blencathra and Skiddaw for incredible scenery along the way and stunning views from the top, whilst a leisurely amble can be found by heading around Derwentwater. Visit Keswick's museum, Puzzling Place and the Derwent Pencil Museum, all great for a rainy day, whilst Hope Park, Castlerigg Stone Circle and Mirehouse & Gardens are all lovely outdoor activities nearby. The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater.
