The property

Perfectly positioned just outside the centre of Keswick in the beautiful Lake District is Skiddaw 23, part of a collection of properties all built in a contemporary, Scandinavian style. Ideal for a small family or group of four, Skiddaw 23 enjoys a reverse-level layout and close proximity to the centre of Keswick and Derwentwater. Enjoy relaxing amongst your loved ones in the social open-plan living space whether lounging on the sofas watching a good film, gathering around the dining table for a game of cards or cooking together in the amply-equipped kitchen. The large and bright feature windows lead you onto the pretty balcony affording lovely treetop views and somewhere to sit out in the warmer months, with patio furniture out here for alfresco dining and drinks. Head downstairs to the ground floor to find two excellent bedrooms, comprising a king-size with en-suite shower room and a TV for lazy mornings in bed, and a twin room perfect for children or friends sharing a room, along with a spacious bathroom to freshen up in too. Stroll into Keswick town centre to be amazed at the great selection of local shops and cafés, as well as the market which comes twice a week, and a host of traditional pubs and restaurants to visit. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Derwentwater, whether taking a leisurely stroll around its shores or cruising along on a boat trip, passing by the charming bays and little islands, with cruises stopping at the National Trust's Derwent Island House to let you explore. Plan a day of hiking up one of the Lake District's popular peaks or fells, with Blencathra and Skiddaw within reach by foot from your doorstep, and Grisedale Pike, Grasmoor and Dale Head all just a scenic car journey away. The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater.
