Jo “The property, location and contact from the owner were 5*.”
The best by far house we’ve had in the lakes with over 30 stays. A real wow. However….since Lakeloves have been taken over by Sykes their customer service has gone right down hill and even though I book twice a year I’d now look at using another company. Very unhelpful with an issue I had that was beyond my control.

Colin “We had a great weekend.”
A fantastic house impressively furnished. Minor points... The bathroom door was unable to open from the inside (top floor). 10.00 am checkout felt a bit early.
- Colin, December 2023Emma “The property is stunning.”
Even better than the pictures. The space really worked well for all the family with every room having gorgeous big comfy beds and luxurious bathrooms. It’s easily the most high speck property we’ve stayed in the Lakes. The location is also a real treat, just at the end of the main high street and edge of the park. The owner Andrew is really hands on. We could tell he really cared about us having a great holiday and went out of his way to recommend things to do. He also lent us a back pack for our dog. Thank you Andrew for all your help, it was greatly appreciated. You will not be disappointed if you book this property and we will be returning next year.
- Emma, December 2023Sharon “We had a wonderful week in The Eyrie.”
It was perfect for us and our three adult children and their partners with plenty of space for everyone to relax. The views were spectacular and overall we all thought it was an awesome place to stay. Thank you, we will be back.
- Sharon, November 2023Sharon Many thanks and would welcome you guys back . Next time you come think of a jan/ feb stay …if there is snow it’s simply incredible Property Owner
Matthew “Great accommodation.”
Totally recommend. We received a really helpful text and email from the owner before we arrived giving additional check in info. On entry to the house is a boot room with heated boot racks. You go up the stairs to find brilliant accommodation. All 4 bedrooms were immaculate. Like top hotel rooms. Lounge was super comfy and kitchen has everything you need. The decor is gorgeous with lots of interesting art to look at. Already thinking about staying again next year.
- Matthew, October 2023Thank you so much and really glad you appreciated the house Hope to see you again next year Matt & co Property Owner
Peter “Too much opportunity for accidents we had to move some of the ornaments glass tables etc when you have young dogs.”
Would have preferred blinds at the landing windows as we felt an bit exposed at night time walking up and down stairs. Position of the accommodation was excellent for access to town and parks loved the fire. Parking was good a little tight during loading and unloading.
- Peter, September 2023Helen “Large and comfortable.”
Immaculately clean and well presented. Everything you need for a large family get together. The house is in a good location, close to parks and the town centre. A short walk to Lake Derwent. The owner is available to contact if needed and was willing to do everything possible to make our stay enjoyable.
- Helen, August 2023Hi Helen , Glad you had a great stay and loved the house and Keswick .It was a pleasure having you all ,and I hope to see you all in the future again some day . Property Owner
Catherine “Great amenities, super location and spotlessly clean.”
The owner was great before we arrived sharing detailed information about our arrival and things to do and see in the area. Thoroughly recommend and will be back again!!
- Catherine, July 2023Bev “A stunning house in an excellent location right in the heart of Keswick with everything on the doorstep.”
The owner has clearly gone to great trouble and thought in tastefully presenting this substantial property providing comfortable accommodation to the highest standard. All the rooms were of a good size meaning a large family or four couples can use the house without any feeling they would have to make do with a lesser room .It’s nice that dogs are welcome , the only point to note is if people are taking elderly dogs there are several flights of stairs to negotiate. We would definitely return to The Eyrie again.
- Bev, June 2023Harriet “The property was stunning.”
The photos didn’t do it justice. Everything was very high spec. All things were provided with everything thought of from toiletries to kitchen roll to dishwasher tablets. This is a lakes lovers dream property.
- Harriet, May 2023Gemma “We had a brilliant stay at the Eyrie.”
It was the perfect property for our group, each room being en-suite was a real plus as we all had our own space and then the communal areas were plenty big enough for us all to be together as well. The property is decorated to such a high standard, it felt like a real treat to stay there. The beds were so comfy that 2 of us have come home and ordered new pillows because we’d been more comfortable on holiday than when we got home! Communication was great from the owner, we didn’t have any problems with anything but the fact he’d text before we arrived meant we knew we would be able to contact him easily should any issues arrive. We have been to Keswick many times and love the area, it’s very possible to stay in Keswick for a week and never need to move the car! This property is perfectly situated for shopping and pubs/restaurants as well as there being lots of great walking routes from the town. We have 2 dogs and generally always choose a holiday property with a garden but we sacrificed that this time because we were travelling with a larger group - it wasn’t too much of a sacrifice at all in the end, as the park over the road was ideal for early morning/late evening dog walks. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Eyrie to anyone travelling to Keswick.
- Gemma, April 2023Kevin “This is a fantastic property and could never see anyone disappointed by spending time here.”
The property is of a very high standard, with every need met. The living areas are very pleasant, with all aspects met, including a great kitchen and dining area, and a luxurious lounge with TV having all of the channels and apps. Every bedroom has a Super King Size bed in a spacious bedroom, with an en suite bathroom of a very high standard. The top floor bedroom is not en suite, but the separate bathroom is absolutely stunning, with modern bath, walk-in shower and double sink unit. The kitchen has everything you need too. The views from both aspects of the building are fantastic, especially to the north, with views of Skiddaw which is amazing. Finally, you get two free parking spaces at the car park which is only a few minutes walk away, but parking is often available across the road on Station Street, which has no restrictions between 6pm and 8am, but discs are available at local shops for two hours to use either side of this; we had no problem parking two cars there between 4pm and 10am. The property is only a couple of minutes walk from Keswick High Street. I’d like to think that what I’ve stated here will give you the impression that this is a super place to stay, because you will not be disappointed.
- Kevin, March 2023Andrew “Wonderful property which has been decorated to a very high modern standard.”
It was spotlessly clean. Very central location and only a minutes walk to the town centre. The property had everything needed to have a very enjoyable break. Only slight downside was that it didn’t have onsite parking (which we knew prior to booking) but thankfully we received 2 passes to the car park which was only a minutes walk away. Would not hesitate to visit again in the future.
- Andrew, March 2023Thank you so much for you lovely feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed the property and all that the area has to offer. We do hope we can welcome you back in the future. Property Owner
Dawn “Out family LOVED the Eyrie Appartment.”
We visit the Lakes often and this is by far the most comfortable and attractive accommodation we have stayed in. The two parking permits were a great added bonus. The beds were super snug and all en-suites wonderful. Our grown up children in particular loved the free standing bath experience after a long walk. The very spacious space also gives that cosy feeling because of its splendid decor and soft furnishings allowed us to dine or relax all together exceptionally comfortably or to retreat and relax in our own elegant rooms. And with Fitz Park so near perfect for walking our dog Cooper early. If we all travel again to Keswick we will look no further than Eyrie for the perfect stay. Thank you.
- Dawn, March 2023Bridget “Just perfect a fabulous property !”
The Eyrie has everything you need, warm, comfortable, beautifully decorated and a great location. Absolutely wonderful.
- Bridget, March 2023Thank you for this lovely feedback. We are glad you enjoyed everything the property and the area had to offer. Property Owner
Margaret “Fabulous property.”
We were looking for somewhere that was warm, comfortable and central for our first holiday with our 8 week old grandson. The Eyrie exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect for us. We holiday in the Lake District regularly and this was probably the best equipped holiday accommodation we have stayed in.
- Margaret, February 2023Jayne “Fabulous house to stay in , clean very comfortable , beautifully decorated”
- Jayne, February 2023Anne “Overall the Eyrie was absolutely lovely.”
.. stylish, comfortable, spacious for 6 adults, very central for shops and walks. We enjoyed a wonderful week and would happily stay there again.
- Anne, January 2023Peter “Amazing holiday home everything you could possibly need Excellent location ...”
Amazing holiday home everything you could possibly need Excellent location Many thanks to Andrew the owner who was there for any info or questions Will definitely go back Gorgeous comfortable home to come back to after long walks around the lakes and dog friendly which is a huge bonus for us
- Peter, January 2023Lisa “We spent Christmas here as a family of 4 (5 if you include our fur baby), it is safe to say we did not want to leave.”
The Eyrie is perfect in every way! The location is perfect for a stroll down to all of the shops, bars, cafes in Keswick or perfectly located to walk the beautiful fells that you can see from the comfort of The Eyrie. The Eyrie is beautifully decorated, comfortable, ample living space and has everything you need. Andrew contacted us on arrival and was lovely, advising that if we needed anything at anytime we could contact him. However as everything was perfect we did not nd to contact him. We would definitely stay at The Eyrie again
- Lisa, December 2022Jacqueline “Stayed with family as annual Christmas treat absolutely gorgeous property however we had two young children and we had to keep the door to living room closed at all times because of the stairs .”
The coffee table in the lounge is stunning but it’s toddler head height (he half walking crawling) but over all beautiful place to stay
- Jacqueline, December 2022Beverley “Fabulous property.”
Very well equipped. Luxurious bathrooms and furnishings. Great location, close to all amenities. Highly recommend.
- Beverley, November 2022Jennifer “An amazing property right in the heart of Keswick.”
The entire house has been completed to a very high standard and was a very comfortable stay for a family of 6 plus a 9 month old baby, and dog! We will definitely be returning.
- Jennifer, November 2022Michael “A really excellent house, very well appointed.”
The only possible improvement we could think of would be a few pint glasses and a more secure fixing for the brilliant heated boot rack.
- Michael, October 2022Micheal pint glasses waiting for you and I have secured the boot rack 100% . All ready for your next visit let me know when you book next and I’ll arrange some local beers . Regards your next visit . Property Owner
Margaret “Excellent family sized property in a great location.”
The house is very well equipped and the 2 car park vouchers were a great help. Would recommend.
- Margaret, August 2022Jill “Absolutely excellent in every respect.”
- Jill, July 2022Naomi “The Eyrie made the perfect base for exploring the Lakes, it is sumptuously decorated, with attention to all the small details.”
Due to typical Lakeland weather we spent several evenings cooking & eating in and couldn’t fault the facilities in the spacious, well equipped kitchen & really enjoyed setting the mood with the hue lighting in the dining room. After a day in the hills the bath in the top suite was to die for, with amazing views over the local fells. We highly recommend this property & couldn’t believe it was dog friendly too. We’ve taken some design inspiration from our stay & hope to return again as its perfect for family & friends
- Naomi, June 2022Mary “The Eyrie is a gorgeous property, extremely well-suited to several couples/families, with extraordinarily comfortable and beautiful furnishings and decor.”
It's hard to say enough good things about this house! We stayed for two weeks, found it an excellent value, and had flawless, instant communication with the owner for any questions that arose (mostly around our American selves being unfamiliar with how to turn on and off towel heaters!). I would stay here again in a heartbeat. We loved being able to fall out of the house and into the shops and restaurants, or down to the lake and hiking paths. The town of Keswick is a special, inspiring place, and a perfect place to stay for Lake District explorations. The owner took care of our parking passes as well, with two cars digitally approved for the two weeks in town lots, one of which was just one block away. We were able to walk to the butcher (one block) and the grocery store (a few blocks), and only used our cars to go to neighboring towns or further hikes. Did I mention the weather is perfect up there? I love gentle rain showers, which we had the first few days, but the rest of our family was blown away by the beautiful sunny days that followed, with temps in the 70s F and light breezes. It was very hard to leave! Thank you for making your house available to us!!! --Mary and Helen and families
- Mary, June 2022Karen “The owners have lovingly restored and decorated this wonderful house.”
Packed full with interesting art pieces, plenty of space for our party (plus dogs) and the most comfortable beds ever! Would absolutely recommend staying.
- Karen, May 2022Christopher “Outstanding property.”
Beautifully appointed and equipped. The furnishings and decor are to the highest standard and the bedrooms are all separated, so a large group can stay here with complete privacy. The location is superb - easy access to the town and to the Skiddaw range of hills. Parking was easy and the owner made sure when we checked in that we had everything we need. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
- Christopher, May 2022Mark “An exceptional standard of workmanship/finish with this property.”
Spotlessly clean and a perfect location. Absolutely nothing but total praise for this host and his family and friends who have created a gem of a place in the Lake District. Book it whilst you can!
- Mark, May 2022Gill “The property is amazing.”
4 great comfortable ensuite bedrooms especially the attic bathroom. The kitchen is very up to date with everything you need. Constant hot water. Lovely dining and living room. It's in an ideal position with lovely views of the fells. All very clean and welcoming. The owner Andrew is very nice and helpful.
- Gill, April 2022Lynn “Fantastic place to stay within walking distance of some major walks Facilities ...”
Fantastic place to stay within walking distance of some major walks Facilities outstanding in the house, very comfortable En-suite bathrooms are outstanding
- Lynn, April 2022Jason “The Eyrie is a first rate property in the heart of Keswick.”
Everything you need is here and the property has been furnished to the highest standards. The top floor bathroom is incredible as are the views from the upper floors. It truly is a home from home. The four en-suite bedrooms are wonderfully comfortable and the separate dining room and lounge areas provide plenty of space for everyone. It’s really terrific. Highly recommended.
- Jason, April 2022Philip “The property and all the facilities far exceeded our expectations.”
Wish we could give it a higher score or rating but we would say that "excellent" and most highly recommended is all we can say! One further special mention should go to Andrew the owner who has gone out of his way to help and advise us both before and during our stay.
- Philip, March 2022Trip Advisor Import “If we could give this accommodation six stars we would - Amazing comes to mind.”
Every room is stunning, so luxurious and comfortable. The property is immaculate it is like stepping into a show home. All needs are catered for especially the kitchen equipment. The views - what can I say - Wow!! They are spectacular, mountain views both from the kitchen and third floor (which even has a telescope to enlargen the dramatic scenery). Andrew, the owner, is so accommodating answering all questions immediately and providing answers over and above for any request. All of our group (8 in total) would definitely stay again. Only regret we didn't fill our comments in the Guest Book as we were enjoying ourselves so much.
- Trip Advisor Import, Feb 2022Brian “House is situated very near to Keswick town center that all amenities are at close hands.”
On entering the house, it is laid out in such a way that you feel straight at home. Would recommend to all should they be looking for accommodation in Keswick.
- Brian, Feb 2022Con “We loved the property.”
We had a great time despite the continuous rain. We walked locally and really enjoyed the stay. It is in a great location. The property is decorated and furnished to the highest standard. It is so spacious. Ideal for 4 couples. we all came together and yet had our own space. It suited all our needs perfectly. The host was very helpful with advice on what to do / where to go. Thankyou.
