“This was our second visit this year to Nightingale Cottage and it felt as if we were coming home!”

The cottage is warm, cosy and well-equipped including a washer/dryer and dishwasher - neither of which we used but it was useful to know they were available to us. An important feature is that there is parking at the rear of the cottage and an added bonus is a small garden there as well. It is ideally situated for visiting the northern part of the Lakes especially as there is a regular bus service between Penrith and Workington, via Keswick. The bus goes right past the door and there are two stops just a few minutes’ walk away. It is the perfect cottage for two and we are hoping to return next year.
