Whitbarrow Village is located a short distance from Ullswater and Keswick and this self-contained holiday village offers quality accommodation, in an excellent location, with excellent facilities including swimming pool, gym, adventure play area, crazy golf, 9 hole putting green, residents bar and an a la carte restaurant. The property enjoys open aspect to the rear to the communal grounds complete with duck pond and access to all the onsite facilities. The property is set over two floors with a spacious open plan kitchen/lounge/dinner which opens to the patio and on the first floor three bedrooms including the master bedroom with ensuite shower room and balcony. Set in the north east of the Lake District, close to the impressive Blencathra Fell, the locations is ideal for those wanting to get out and about and explore the Lake District and offer easy access to the popular market towns of Keswick and Penrith, great walking, and attractions for all the family. Ideal for families, Whitbarrow Village offers fantastic facilities and is a great choice whatever the time of year.== Accommodation in detail From the entrance porch the cottage opens to a spacious open plan kitchen/lounge/dinner. Patio doors open from the comfortable longe to the patio area with table and chairs. The large family dining table is the ideal place to gather over a breakfast or a family dinner. The kitchen is well equipped with gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and fridge freezer. On the first floor there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom offers an ensuite shower room with WC and a balcony over looking the grounds. The second bedroom offers twin beds and the third bedroom has bunk beds, ideal for the kids. The family bathroom overs bath with hand held shower over, basin and WC. The property is located within the holiday park with well managed grounds, paths, cobbled streets and high quality leisure facilities. The leisure club included a superb indoor swimming pool, sauna and spa bath, a fully equipped gym, table tennis and a holistic therapy treatment centre. Within the club house there is a friendly bar and a great a la carte restaurant serving seasonal favourites, a tourist information area to help your plan your holiday and internet area with wifi. Outdoors, within the grounds, there is a popular children's adventure play area, 18 hole crazy golf, nine hole putting green, mini football area and even an giant outdoor draughts/chess board! Though wifi is not available within the cottage it is available in the internet zone of the club house within Whitbarrow Village. There is private parking for one car with additional parking on site available as required. Location Whitbarrow village is situated in the foothills of Blencathra close to the visllage of Greystoke, with its traditional country pub and village shop and fifteen minutes drive from the bustling market town of Keswick. Keswick is one of the Lake District's most popular destinations. This friendly town hosts the very popular twice weekly market that has recently won the coveted 'Best Outdoor Market' in the Great British Market Awards. The village also offers a fantastic array of shops offering everything from craft bakeries and local produce, antiques, crafts and much, much more. If you are looking for somewhere to eat and drink, a week just won't be long enough to sample the great range of pubs, restaurants, bistros, cafes and wine bars! For a great evening out why not visit the 100 year old Alhambra offering first class cinema entertainment in traditional surroundings or enjoy an evening at 'the most beautiful and friendly theatre in Britain', the 400 seat Theatre By The Lake on the shores of Derwentwater.
