The property

This owner offers short breaks on a price per night basis across the Osprey & Teal properties in Lower season. Teal Nook £110 per night based on a 3 night minimum. Prices shown reflect the owners new way of pricing. This cosy central Lakeland retreat is set within the heart of picturesque Grasmere village providing a romantic and convenient hideaway for any special occasion. Completed in traditional Lakeland cottage style, step inside and be wowed by breath-taking views from the roof terrace. Teal Nook also has private access to the Lake, via a private walk at the end of Lake View Drive. Adjoining Teal Beck, but with private access, garden and parking. Gaze out from the balconied roof terrace to the wonderful views of the fells and the beautiful village where the surrounding mountains appear so close you can almost reach out and touch them. An open staircase leads to the bedroom. Accommodation in detail A private lane leads to your cottage where you park your car and walk through the garden to your front door. Opening into a glorious open plan living space, with a well equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge freezer. Enjoy a delicious breakfast whilst discussing the day ahead in the dining area. Continue into the lounge area where a picture bay window looks out to the fells. The comfortable furnishings and the wood burning stove makes this a great place to relax and enjoy whilst unwinding after the days events. On this level is the shower room with wc, basin and shower. An open wooden staircase leads to the bedroom room with double bed and ample wardrobes. A great space with access through French doors to the private roof terrace where you can while the evening away with a glass of wine whilst star gazing. Outside there is a pretty enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture that is perfect for al-fresco living, all facing south and ideal for lazy days or pre-dinner drinks. Private gated parking for 1 car. We regret this property does not accept pets, however the owner does occasionally reside at the property with her dog. Location Nestled in the very heart of the Lakes, Grasmere is a lovely place for a romantic break in peaceful surroundings. With the views beginning at home, you'll be tempted to take on such famous Lake District walks as Silver How, Lang How and Helm Crag. Rising behind the property is the impressive 'Fairfield Horseshoe' - keen walkers will be spoilt for choice. But a holiday property in Grasmere isn't just a dream for walkers. This historic Lake District village is famed for its connections with the poet William Wordsworth, who lived in the village at Dove Cottage - now owned by the National Trust and open to the public as part of the Wordsworth Museum. Situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park is the lovely village of Grasmere, probably best known as the home of William Wordsworth, a place he once described as "The most loveliest spot that man hath found". Any visit to Grasmere needs to include The Grasmere Gingerbread shop, where the Wilson family have been making gingerbread for over 60 years. Also in the village are a number of shops, pubs, a church which dates back to the 13th century and Grasmere Lake, plus Grasmere Sports takes place every August, where you can watch participants compete in a variety of sports, including Cumberland Wrestling. Just five miles away is the town of Ambleside and Lake Winderemere where you will find shops, pubs, restaurants and the 17th century Bridge House, which is one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District. Cruises, boat trips and watersports can all be enjoyed on Lake Windermere and the towns of Windermere and Keswick are also within driving distance. Grasmere is a wonderful base for your Lake District retreat.
