Waterhead Cottage, is the perfect home-from-home for a group of eight wanting to explore the Lake District National Park. Waterhead Cottage is accompanied by a private parking for one car, and there is room for more nearby. After parking up, make your way into this delightful accommodation and hang your coats on the handy coat hooks. The living/dining room is a welcoming space with ample plush seating centring around a TV and woodburning stove; get comfortable with your loved ones and enjoy a movie night as a fire crackles away in the background. The kitchen/diner is a well-presented space, fitted with all your need to rustle up delicious meals, including a dishwasher, when dinner is ready, enjoy an intimate meal in the kitchen or a feast with the whole family in the living/dining room. As the day comes to an end, ascend the stairs to the first floor where two bedrooms can be found, an exquisite king-size room and tasteful furnishings, along with a twin room; both bedrooms benefit from a shower room on the same floor. Traverse the stairs again to find two more well-appointed bedrooms, one being an attractive double with an en-suite bathroom as well as a double featuring pretty décor; all rooms feature ample storage for your belongings. Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force.
