    “Greenthorn is the ideal place for a Lake District trip.”

    It’s located close by to lots of lovely villages, pubs and beautiful walks, there is so much to do on the doorstep. The cottage itself is perfect. It has so much character and is so cosy and quiet. It also is designed beautifully and has everything you need. The gardens surrounding the property are beautiful and our dog loved it just as much as we did.

The old stone walls, exposed beams, and toasty open fireplace are all examples of this. Two plush sofas and armchairs can be found in the roomy living area, making it the ideal place to relax in front of the TV or with a nice book. Enter the kitchen and dining area, which are connected and have space for six people. Prior to exploring all the nearby tourist attractions, gather for a quick breakfast; the kitchen is equipped with all the tools you could possibly need to whip up a tasty dinner, which features a gorgeous set of fitted white units and oak worktops. Three bedrooms—one king-size with an en suite bathroom, one double, and one twin—are located upstairs. Parents can relax on the delightful balcony space in the master bedroom, which also has seats and views of the countryside. A rear patio area with furnishings is outside and would be the ideal place to spend a morning sipping tea while taking in the countryside. Local attractions include Fell Foot Park, an ideal day excursion for families, or visit the Masons Arms on Strawberry Bank, one of the area's iconic pubs and only a 6-minute walk away. Both places serve good meals. Your young children can play and run around as you take in the breathtaking views. Cartmel Fell is a hamlet and a civil parish in the South Lakeland district of Cumbria, England. The village of Cartmel and Cartmel Priory lie in Lower Allithwaite, to the south: Cartmel Fell church is about seven miles north of Cartmel Priory. Wherever you choose to stay you will discover a selection of attractions to visit nearby. And for the adventurous, the outdoor activity in the Windermere area boasts almost every imaginable opportunity. Bowness-on-Windermere rests on the east shore and the busiest tourist destination in the Lake District. Ambleside, at the northern tip of the lake, is also very popular with visitors. Newby Bridge at the south end of the lake is slightly less well known and therefore a little quieter. It is connected to the lake cruises route via a short journey on the steam railway. Other notable visitor locations around Windermere are the wonderful Coniston, Rydal and Grasmerevillages. Hawkshead, Sawrey and Troutbeck and the Langdales are all close by.
