“The property was being sold around the time we stayed.”

Oven was filthy, the vacuum cleaner smelled of wet dog, and there was dirty laundry left in the washing machine (yuck). Expected better from the way the cottage was advertised and the price we paid for an off-peak stay (felt we were ripped off).

Expected better from the way the cottage was advertised and the price we paid for an off-peak stay (felt we were ripped off). Parking is difficult and yes the upstairs floor boards are unusually creaky. On a positive note, it's a great location in town, and the beds are super comfy.
