“Yer fine lovely place read some negitive comments in the guest book in my opinion the place is probably nicer than there own home.”- Kevin, February 2022
“Lovely apartment spotlessly clean very comfortable.”
Ideal central location perfect for Bowness centre shops and restaurants. We will definitely be coming back- Gail, October 2021
“This is the second time we have stayed at this property, and we enjoyed our stay as much as the first time.”
The apartment is very comfortable, beautifully furnished and the kitchen is very well equipped. We especially appreciated the personal touches the owners have put into the property with the beautiful artwork and photography - this gives the place an inviting, comforting feel. The location is ideal and the off street parking is a nice bonus. We will definitely be happy to recommend this accommodation to friends and family.- Lauren, October 2021
“Overall we had the most amazing stay, the location was perfect and the on-site parking great too.”
We loved the apartment, the size was great and everything in working order. It just needs a really deep clean and for us this did let it down. Especially when we read feedback from a few weeks back that stated the same thing, clearly action hasn’t been taken to address it. You could visibly see thick cobwebs and dust along skirting boards, on top of the bed head board. All window sills needed a good wipe down too. We disposed or around 10 huge spiders in the first 48 hours we were there and I feel this was because it hadn’t been cleaned properly.- Bridey, July 2021
“Few issues with what could be a really nice property.”
Stains on floors and rugs need washed / replaced. House needs a deep clean from top to bottom covered in dust behind beds skirting boards and doors. House needs paint freshen up as walls marked in several areas. Very noisy from above. And we could not get into our accommodation at 4 o’clock because it hadn’t been cleaned we had to wait longer due to this only to enter the property which obviously hadn’t been cleaned anyway. Disappointing as it has all the makings of a good property if only the basics were done correctly. No offer of compensation or additional time on our last day to make up for the late entrance even although the company has 6 hours between people leaving and arriving which again is very disappointing.- David, July 2021
“The location was outstanding we didn't move the car for a week, as there was a designated parking space this was never an issue even if we did venture in the car, just used local buses and boats.”
So much care was given to the renovation in terms of style and little touches like the guest book and information about curlew. The beds were really comfy, the shower was awesome and the washing machine was a life saver! The Internet was of good quality but if I was being picky the TV channels were limited and as it wasn't a smart TV there was no way to stream from phones or tablets a chromecast or firestick could easily fix this. This however does not detract from how amazing this apartment was it was the perfect size for our bolthole for the week and the kitchen was very well equipped for cooking although there were soooo many wonderful places to eat within a 5 minute walk. It was easy to find and plenty of information was given by lake lovers. This was such a relaxing holiday from start to finish- Amanda, July 2021
“Really lovely apartment with great facilities.”
Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Location was perfect. Only thing was the dryer didn’t dry the clothes, just made them wetter so couldn’t wash anything- Debra, July 2021
“Bathroom doors wouldnt close properly.”
Many surfaces were covered in dust. Door handles so stiff as to be almost impossible to turn. Parking very difficult with an SUV. Tastefully furnished but dark due to location in building. Sadly can’t recommend this apartment.- K, June 2021
Will definitely stay again- Timothy, May 2021
“Really enjoyed our holiday was great and the apartment was fantastic”- Joe, April 2021
“Home from home, property excellent, furnished to a high standard, tastefully decorated, beds comfortable, bed linen and towels spotless.”
Equipment first class, ideal for all local amenities.- Ms. Hampton-Fowler, Nov 2019
Used lake lovers twice before and always very satisfied. Curlew at Stonecliffe was excellent., So convenient for shops restaurants and public transport. Didn't use the car at all. The decor and equipment were 5* thanks to the owners for their excellent taste. We will return.- Mrs Blair, May 2019
