    “We have stayed in this apartment before so we knew what to expect.”

    The shower is good and the apartment is very well located and it suited our need for the few days we were there. We were also very pleased to have information regarding dog friendly local walks which were all lovey. ...

    The shower is good and the apartment is very well located and it suited our need for the few days we were there. We were also very pleased to have information regarding dog friendly local walks which were all lovey. There are a few recommendations i would make. 1/ Replace the hob top- the current one is very old and slow and is not suitable for anything more than breakfast. 2/ The duvet is very rubbery- there are many nice man made fiber duvets on the market which should be considered. We took our own. 3/ The wallpaper is very very dated and could be replaced.

A group of four comfortable Lake District holiday apartments, set in an elevated position, in a superb location, at the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere. Just five minutes’ walk from shores of Lake Windermere and two minutes from the town centre, the greatest charm of these apartments has to be their superb location. Set in a former traditional Lakeland house with distant views of the Langdale Fells, these lovingly-furnished and tastefully-decorated properties provide cosy accommodation for couples, families and friends, away from the main hustle and bustle of Bowness, but close enough to amble down into the town. With one apartment set on the ground floor, two on the first floor and one on the second floor, these lovely properties offer flexible sleeping arrangements for a variety of party sizes. All also have their own bathroom, great for long soaks after days walking or cycling in beautiful surroundings. Bowness-on-Windermere boasts a fantastic lakeside location for watersports or simply cruising on the Windermere Steamer. Younger guests will delight in the World of Beatrix Potter, whilst the interesting mix of shops, galleries and restaurants will be appreciated by everyone. Leaving Bowness and heading over to Ambleside and Grasmere will offer a varied backdrop of fells, lakes and mountains to explore – you may even spot some Herdwick sheep. The visitor centre at Brockhole is another great place to visit, with a tree-top adventure course and gardens running down to the lake shore, so pack a picnic and enjoy a super day outdoors. The vibrant twin towns of Bowness and Windermere hold enduring appeal for visitors to the Lake District National Park, with each providing a range of nearby attractions, amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. A variety of boat trips and boat hire are available from Windermere Lake Cruises in Bowness to Brockhole, Ambleside and Lakeside (at the southern end of the lake where the Lakeside Aquarium and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway are situated). The World of Beatrix Potter attraction and the Old Laundry theatre are 1.5 miles away. Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to write his series of iconic guidebooks, is a 30-minute walk to enjoy the spectacular panorama of far-reaching views over the lake and surrounding fells.
