Two pubs are within a 25 minute walk right from the door along a clearly signed, easy to follow bridlepath. Whether you are celebrating a happy event or just spending time together with your loved one, enjoy the luxurious bedroom, 21st century open plan kitchen and dining area with vaulted ceiling and beams, spacious lounge with floor to ceiling doors, leading straight out onto the patio. A relaxing space to enjoy that BBQ or chilled drink of an evening. This picturesque sleepy hamlet known Cartmel Fell is close to everything and surrounded by some favourite eateries including the very well known 'Masons Arms' at Strawberry Bank with bustling Bowness-on-Windermere being a short distance away. Accommodation Entering the property, you will step into the large and spacious open plan kitchen/diner with high vaulted ceiling and exposed wooden beams. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook that hearty breakfast or indeed a romantic dinner. You’ll find an electric 4 ring hob and oven, undercounter fridge and freezer, dishwasher, and built in microwave. 2 cosy armchairs and a table and chairs are in place for you to relax whilst the kettle is boiling or sit at the table to plan the day’s events. Just off the dining area is a downstairs cloakroom with WC and basin. Continue through to the living room with feature floor to ceiling windows and French doors, which is a perfect spot to admire the panoramic views. Relax on the 2 large sofas which provides ample seating, a perfect room for after dinner drinks, board games or to watch the Smart TV. Stairs lead to a mezzanine area, a great chill out area with an armchair, table and lamp. Across to a luxurious and cosy King Size bedroom, with yet again great views. The newly refurbished wet room, has shower, vanity unit with basin, wc, heated towel rail and illuminated mirror. Outside you will find a private parking for 2 cars, lovely low walled patio with spectacular views. Outside seating perfect for those warmer days! Located at the rear of the property is a single brick store which is lockable with electric, ideal for safe storage of mountain bikes or canoes etc. Location The property lies only a few miles from Bowness village - which is only 20 minutes from the M6 and just a few miles from Windermere train station. Bowness is a contemporary Lake District village on the eastern shore of Lake Windermere, England's largest lake and one of the most scenic destinations in the UK for a romantic break. The village is alive with cafes and restaurants, as well as plenty of choice for a special evening out. There are handy groceries, supermarkets and sophisticated shops for leisurely browsing. There is a cinema, a theatre and even a lakeshore nightclub to guarantee you a lively night out if you want one! Stunning Lake Windermere offers all sorts of activities. You'll enjoy taking a sunset wander on the lakeshore or hiring a rowing boat for a bit of fun. Steamers run from Bowness Pier all year round, taking scenic cruises to Lakeside and Ambleside. A great way to explore without the car. You can also take a car ferry from Bowness to the west shore of Lake Windermere, where Beatrix Potter's magical countryside and the honeypot village of Hawkshead are waiting to be explored. Walkers will love exploring the paths and fells around Lake Windermere. For example, Gummers How is a short steep route to a viewpoint high above the Lake (well worth the effort!) and the Mason's Arms at Strawberry Bank, Bowland Bridge, is the ideal pub to visit for refuelling afterwards. If you are a serious hiker then many of the most spectacular and challenging mountains of the Lake District are within easy driving distance.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.

About the location

CARTMEL FELL

Newby Bridge 4.8; Grange-over-Sands 8.2 miles.

Cartmel Fell is a hamlet and a civil parish in the South Lakeland district of Cumbria, England. The village of Cartmel and Cartmel Priory lie in Lower Allithwaite, to the south: Cartmel Fell church is about seven miles north of Cartmel Priory. Wherever you choose to stay you will discover a selection of attractions to visit nearby. And for the adventurous, the outdoor activity in the Windermere area boasts almost every imaginable opportunity. Bowness-on-Windermere rests on the east shore and the busiest tourist destination in the Lake District. Ambleside, at the northern tip of the lake, is also very popular with visitors. Newby Bridge at the south end of the lake is slightly less well known and therefore a little quieter. It is connected to the lake cruises route via a short journey on the steam railway. Other notable visitor locations around Windermere are the wonderful Coniston, Rydal and Grasmerevillages. Hawkshead, Sawrey and Troutbeck and the Langdales are all close by.
