Riverside Terrace has also been awarded 5 Star Gold and noted by Visit England as 'Luxurious and memorable' making these beautiful eco holiday homes really stand out from the crowd. This unique and modern property has been in the making for years, the owners have dedicated a lot of time to create such a well-designed space. Built on the site of the former stables belonging to the Stepping Stones Estate; it overlooks the River Rothay and breath-taking Lakeland countryside. Rivers Edge is one of three properties in Riverside Terrace, with each property feeling very private due to the unique curved shape of the property. The design of this property was to blend in to the surrounding landscape with its curved shape and the gently pitched green roof. The idea was to be as eco-friendly as possible with locally sourced stone and a very low carbon footprint. Floor to ceiling height windows have been used a considerable amount in this build to take advantage of the breath-taking setting and of course to draw in as much light as possible. Holiday makers will admire the quality interior design of this property, it appeals to those guests looking for something unusual and exceptionally well thought out. The owners have worked closely with a designer to ensure the interiors compliment the building and its incredible location, attention to detail is truly at its finest here; evidenced from the bold and bespoke kitchen right down to the last thread of designer fabric in the bedroom. At the foot of Loughrigg Fell, across the River Rothay from the famous 'Stepping Stones' lies this unique and contemporary self-catering abode. Just a short river bank walk into Ambleside centre and within the charming village of Rydal. Accomodation in detail Private parking for 2 cars. A Lakeland slate route takes you from the car park, crossing over the beck to the rear entrance of the property. The walker-friendly entrance offers a place to take off boots and coats after a long day on the fells. Enter into the hallway, leading you to the front of the property. The hallway separates the two bedrooms in this property, each with a private en-suite; one boasts a large walk-in shower and the other complete with a free-standing designer bath and shower attachment. Carry on along the hallway to the open plan living space at the very front of the property, taking in the views offered through the floor to ceiling windows which sweep across the entirety of the property. The living area offers everything that you would expect from this Lake District holiday property in terms of cooking, dining and relaxing; including underfloor heating on those colder days and a log burner to create a cosy and romantic atmosphere in the evenings. When summer comes around, guests can take delight in spending time on the front terrace; glass of wine in hand, while absorbing the terrific setting in all its glory and let us not forget the beautiful wildlife who are lucky enough to call this place home. About the location

Windermere 4 miles; Grasmere 4 mile; Keswick 15 miles.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
