“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and would recommend Sykes and the house to other people.”

However, we would agree with previous reviews that the house could do with updating in some areas. The shower floor in the downstairs bathroom needs attention, the pull out drawer in the kitchen needs cleaning at the back. The house wasn't super warm; this could be helped by fixing a huge hole in one of the "conservatory doors". It would have been helpful for the owners to have left more than 6 plates and other cutlery. As it meant that it all had to be washed up after every meal. Otherwise ...

The house wasn't super warm; this could be helped by fixing a huge hole in one of the "conservatory doors". It would have been helpful for the owners to have left more than 6 plates and other cutlery. As it meant that it all had to be washed up after every meal. Otherwise you wouldn't have enough for next time. Additionally, the knives in the knife block could do with being updated. We liked the location and the fact that we were in a nice quiet spot. The children loved exploring the back garden. We thought it was wonderful that so many games had been left and that there was so much choice on the television. The house was spacious, welcoming, airy and tidy and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax. We really enjoyed our time there.
