Within easy reach of the Lake District National Park's sights and being a Grade II Listed Building, Eagle Farmhouse is certain to be a memorable stay for a family of six. The whitewashed house is set behind a secure, electric gate and boasts ample off-road parking for three cars, where you can leave your vehicle before heading inside to be welcomed by rustic interiors featuring exposed beams, vaulted ceilings and stone flooring. After leaving your belongings in the boot room, make yourselves at home in the snug as you delve into a book from the array available, as the flames of the wood burning stove flicker in the background. After a relaxing evening, continue to the open-plan living space where you can find a well-equipped kitchen; the space hosts duo-tone units that not only boast style, but practicality, as they house a great range of appliances, including an AGA range. When dinner is ready, enjoy it at the close-by dining table with your loved ones; why not fetch a bottle of wine from the wine cellar to accompany your meal? The sitting area is just behind the dining area and is home to a Smart TV, where you can enjoy your favourite show as you spend some quality time with your group; there is an additional wood burning stove here for some extra warmth. The utility room isn't far and hosts a handy washing machine and tumble dryer, so you can leave old clothes to wash overnight, before heading upstairs. The first floor is home to three wonderful king-size bedrooms, with one hosting an en-suite shower room, and two sharing a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, where you will be left spoilt for choice when it comes to getting ready, as a walk-in shower and freestanding bath are on offer. A highlight of this remarkable property has to be its garden, with ample seating areas for you to unwind on, along with access to a pizza oven, fire pit, beautiful views and a large lawn; the garden also backs onto an idyllic stream, so you can savour a cup of coffee as the tranquil water trickles in the background. Eagle Farmhouse is just moments away from a wealth of Glenridding's amenities, including ample shops and eateries, as well as a good selection of activities, including walks throughout the nearby Helvellyn and Place Fell, as well as ample watersports to be enjoyed in Ullswater via the Glenridding Sailing Centre. The renowned town of Windermere isn't far and not only backs onto Lake Windermere, but houses some fantastic attractions, from the fascinating World of Beatrix Potter Attraction and the Windermere Jetty Museum to the exhilarating Windermere Outdoor Adventure Centre and Miller Ground. An outing awaits at Penrith, where you can tour the Thacka Beck Nature Reserve, wander through the ruins of Penrith Castle, and enjoy a picnic at the nearby Castle Park. The settlements of Keswick, Cockermouth and Ambleside aren't far and also make for brilliant outings for all the family.
