“The first day we stayed at the property was beyond amazing!”

It was very comfortable! Richard was extremely helpful and took good care of us. The second day, the whole ceiling & roof fell down Due to poor maintenance. We contacted the sykes team and owner and they responded after 4-5 hours. We still had a day left for our trip, we had to move out immediately. We have NOT A RECEIVED ANY REFUND. Neither did they relocated us! PATHETIC SERVICE! NEVER BOOKING WITH THIS WEBSITE AGAIN. Air bnb has been so helpful & i have had such good experiences this is just ...

About the location

NEWBY BRIDGE

Bowness-on-Windermere 8 miles.

The small village of Newby Bridge takes its name from the five arched stone bridge built in 1651 over the River Leven. The famous Furness Railway, one of Britain's oldest working standard gauge steam railways, runs between Haverthwaite and Newby Bridge. Visit the Lakeside Hotels and enjoy magnificent views across Windermere and the surrounding fells, or enjoy the Aquarium of the Lakes, where the naturally themed habitats, bring the history of the Lakes vividly to life. Bowness-on-Windermere provides a lovely day out, plus the picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character that so endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, and admire the views at nearby Gummer's How.
