“Cleanliness was not great as per usual with all Lakelovers cottages.”
No welcome pack, not even a pint of milk. If owned this property I would be disgusted with the response from the Lakelovers teams. Cottages.com are far superior. Took 3 days and 3 plumbers visits to sort out a major water leak running into the mains electrics. We could not shower or bath for 3 days. Totally ruined our holiday and had no compensation at all!

On the 15th November the property was inspected by Visit England and gained 100% score for Cleanliness, as no other party had been in the cottage until the guests the comments over cleanliness are surprising.
As we can't pre judge a guests requirements on things like milk (dairy or non dairy) bread (gluton free, granary, wholemeal etc) and beverages we decided to not give a tradition welcome pack to avoid food waste. We keep the property upto date with fixtures and fittings and decorations to give guests the most comfortable stay possible.
The water leak from the bath which the guest refers to was not evident when we were at the property one week prior to the guest, however once the leak was reported we asked the plumber to attend, within 36 hours two visits were made to fix the leak. Apoligies were made, it was felt our prompt response was activated and the issue was solved. The concern about water leaking into main electrics was also explained to them as the light fitting in question was a sealed unit approved for wet areas and tested along with the other electrics and certificates issued accordingly.
The guests wished to move out earlier then their contract time and we agreed to allow them to terminate their contract with no extra costs. The guests chose to stay an extra 2 nights after this offer was made.
Their comments about Lakelovers is something we have not experienced as either clients or customers of the group."
