    “We really enjoyed theComfort.”

Hunters Moon is a really delightful property. The owners have thought of everything including milk, tea bags, coffee and biscuits!! .It is lovely and quiet. There is a lovely patio overlooking the garden. It is tastefully furnished to a high standard and centrally located. There is good WiFi, we would definitely stay here again!

The property

This is an outstanding, uniquely designed property in a very tranquil setting, nestling on the edge of private woodland (a haven for wildlife) and enjoying beautiful ever changing Lakeland views across the owners' private gardens to the lake and hills beyond. Adjoining the owners' home, it is tucked away on a private road just north of the village and walking or touring the Lakes by car from here in any direction is easy, with many guests choosing to return year after year. The renowned Miller Howe restaurant is nearby whilst the bars and restaurants in Windermere village present cuisine to tempt all tastes. Hunters Moon offers a reduction of £50 for two people using one bedroom. == Accommodation in detail The very spacious ground floor accommodation forms one self-contained wing of a large property. A few steps down from the double length carport, enter a well equipped kitchen with ample space to dine and enjoy the garden through full-length windows. A hallway leads to a magnificent lounge with exposed slate wall, feature fireplace and formal dining area. Four patio windows, showcasing the stunning outlook, open onto a terrace perfect for al-fresco drinks. The double bedroom overlooks the woodland and is close to the main bathroom, whilst the superb en-suite master bedroom is at the opposite end of the property, overlooking the garden through wide patio windows. Location This unique Windermere self-catering property is perfectly placed for exploring the Lake District. Firstly, stock up your kitchen in Windermere village, with its renowned local supermarket carrying the highest quality local goods as well as your everyday essentials. You'll find it right next to the headquarters of Lakeland Limited - well worth a visit for cookery fans! The village centre has a number of small but sophisticated shops, a traditional butcher and several cafes. Bowness village lies only a couple of miles south of Windermere village, on the eastern shore of the lake. There you'll enjoy all the boating activities in Bowness Bay, including Windermere Lake Cruises to Ambleside and Lakeside. Windermere Golf Club is just outside the village. Touring by car is scenic in every direction from your self-catering accommodation in Windermere. The Troutbeck Valley is an unspoilt treat, and a wonderful drive through it takes you over the Kirkstone Pass to Ullswater. The A591 leads from Windermere to Ambleside, Rydal Water, historic Grasmere and beyond - branching off to popular Lake District walking landscapes such as the Langdale Valley and Coniston.
