    - Mrs M Smith,

The property

This magnificent original Victorian Carriage House makes sublime holiday living in contemporary open plan splendor - this is a place to escape the everyday, relax and spend precious time together close to the shores of Lake Windermere and all this ever popular destination offers. Architect designed with much thought and attention to space and light making perfect holiday fun. Set in a semi rural spot only a few minutes stroll from vibrant Windermere amidst a cluster of old courtyard cottages on the lower slopes of the majestic Troutbeck valley. Needless to say, walks are in abundance straight from your doorstep but you will long to return home to elegant modern country luxury. The walled garden is a real sun trap and very private, a place to plan your next day and soak up al-fresco life. Don't forget the courtyard seating area alongside a magnificent stone slab, always a conversation topic. Upside down this accommodation will delight and whether you are a family or a set of couples, we know The Carriage House is perfect for a holiday at any time of the year. == Accommodation in detail The courtyard entrance to this former Carriage House has a glazed Victorian carriage wash - ideal for loading your stuff. An entrance hallway on the ground floor with access to 3 bedrooms; a super king size or twin room with en-suite walk in wet room with WC and wash basin; a double bedroom also with wet room, WC and wash basin and the king size bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath and this room has the original carriage glazed doors leading out to the courtyard. There is a useful laundry room also on the ground floor and then upstairs to the living quarters. Wow- this open plan living is great with an archway dividing the spacious lounge; the lounge has French windows leading out to the garden and this is a room to truly spread out and relax in. The kitchen / dining room is also spacious with a table fit for any gathering and all you could ever need in the kitchen. On this level is the fourth bedroom, a twin with en-suite bathroom incorporating a corner bath, great for long soaks after a hard day on the fells.
