There is a fully equipped butler’s kitchen for extra cooking needs and a convenient utility. There is also a family bedroom that can accommodate up to three people and features a four-poster king-size bed, a single bed and an en-suite bathroom.
The lower ground level features a gorgeous open-plan living area with generous sofas, a woodburning stove, and a Smart TV perfect for family movie nights, as well as a sizable dining area and a sleek, stylish kitchen perfect for whipping up delicious meals for a large group. The next stop is at Ambleside, where you can learn about local history at the Armitt Library & Museum Centre, visit the breath-taking Stock Ghyll Force, and tour the fascinating Ambleside Roman Fort. The Rydal Cave and Grasmere, where you can explore the great poet William Wordsworth's former house, are both within easy travelling distance. In addition to its outstanding golf course, castle, and museum, Kendal is also home to the Quaker Tapestry Museum.
