The Potting Shed is a cosy rural retreat in a scenic area of the Lake District National Park and is within walking distance to Windermere village.

Come back to the cottage after a day of sightseeing or hiking the nearby fells and relax on the plush sofa in front of the TV and woodburning stove, which together create an atmosphere of warmth and welcome.
Cook delicious meals for you and your significant other in the kitchen, which features cream cabinets and sloping ceiling windows that let in plenty of natural light. A dishwasher and a washing machine are provided for your convenience.
Upstairs you will find the king-size bedroom, tastefully decorated in neutral tones with attractive fabrics, and the shower room with a refreshing walk-in shower.
Parking for one car is available adjacent to the property and a charming south facing patio provides a spot for al fresco dining on warm afternoons
Why not head into the heart of Windermere, where you'll find an abundance of cafes, pubs, and restaurants, as well as plenty of shops selling everything from essentials to souvenirs for friends and family.
An enjoyable day trip can be had by boarding the famous Windermere steamer and taking a cruise around England's largest lake, making stops in Ambleside and Lakeside along the way.
Walking routes in the area are plentiful, with the beautiful School Knott positioned just behind the property, and situated close to Post Knott, Brant Fell and Biskey Howe viewpoints, all offering sweeping vistas of the surrounding countryside.
Nearby you will find Windermere Golf Club, offering a beautiful course along with a bar and restaurant. Also close by is the AA 5 star restaurant Gilpin Spice.
Water sports abound on the lake, and cyclists will delight in the extensive cycling paths that wind through the National Park.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
