The property

Wastwater is a lovely semi-detached cottage based in Windermere, Cumbria.

The cottage is ideal for couples wishing to spend some time together, with stylish, reverse-level accommodation and lovely views across Windermere.

When arriving at the cottage, you will find designated parking, as well as the extra convenience of the town's railway station being moments away.

Head up the stairs from the parking space, through the enclosed garden to the front door.

Continue inside to discover the first bedroom, a wonderfully laid-out space with a king-size bed to cuddle up in at the end of the day, as well as access to an en-suite shower room which enjoys fabulous extras of contemporary, marble tiling and a heated towel rail.

Ascend the stairs to reach the inviting open-plan living area, which has a well-equipped kitchen with an electric oven and stove, as well as the conveniences of a washing machine and a coffee maker.

After preparing delectable dishes in the kitchen, serve them as a romantic dinner for two at the adjacent dining table.

After a great meal, relax on the sofa and take in the views of Windermere's rooftops before turning on the TV to watch a movie.

During the summertime, why not sit outside in the gravelled garden and share a cold beverage together?

Spend some time discovering everything Windermere has to offer, such as its magnificent lake with a variety of activities, treks up Queen Adelaide's Hill and Orrest Head, and access to an illustrious golf club!

For further outdoor thrills, head to Troutbeck Bridge, where you'll find the adventurous Treetop experience, the beautiful Holehird Gardens, and access to the great attraction of Brockhole on Windermere.

Head north to Ambleside, where the Ambleside Roman Fort, a path meandering by Stock Ghyll Force Waterfall and up Wansfell Pike, and the Armitt Museum Centre await.

For additional watersports, visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, or Derwentwater, or if you enjoy hiking, Scafell Pike, Helvellyn, and Red Screes are all close by!

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park.
