The property

Bluebelle - Crossgate Luxury Glamping is an inviting pod resting in Hartsop, Cumbria, offering an appealing escape for two with a mezzanine king-size bedroom, thoughtful open-plan living, and an outdoor fire pit area.

Step inside to find practical touches from the start, with hangers and a boot rack to the left, ready for walking gear after days in the Cumbrian air.

To the right, a striking media wall houses a 55-inch Smart TV, sound bar and digital electric fireplace, creating a cinematic focal point for evenings in.

The open-plan living space is arranged for relaxed days together; a sofa for two is joined by a futon, giving you a choice of spots to settle with a film or favourite series.

Spotlights overhead add a warm glow as daylight fades.

Along the right-hand side, a breakfast bar offers an easy perch for laid-back meals or morning coffee, flowing towards the L-shaped kitchenette at the rear, where you’ll find an electric hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, perfect for putting together simple dishes and snacks.

Tucked behind the stairs, the ground-floor shower room features a walk-in shower, basin and WC, while storage under the stairs, with a chest of drawers and hanging rail, helps keep belongings organised.

Climb to the mezzanine level, and you’ll discover an illusion LED floating bed with floating sides, USB ports on either side and a Velux skylight above, so you can drift off beneath the soft glow of the lighting and enjoy glimpses of the night sky.

Outside, composite decking and a fire pit area invite you to linger outdoors, sharing unhurried evenings in the fresh Cumbrian air, with one well-behaved pet welcome to join the adventure.

Make use of the jacuzzi bath, an ideal spot to relax after a day on the hills and the perfect place to admire the breathtaking Ullswater valley below.

Crossgate Luxury Glamping And Low Wood View Cottage

Crossgate Luxury Glamping are five delightful pods and one wonderful cottage resting in Hartsop, close to Glenridding in the beautiful Lake District. Nestled in stunning countryside, on this 5th generation working farm, this collection offers a hot tub to watch the sky grow dark and a fire pit to keep you toasty, making this an idyllic setting for couples, families and friends. All of the pods have a studio-style layout with colourful décor for a warm atmosphere, where you can curl up on the sofa bed with a TV for entertainment. The surrounding countryside is perfect for avid walkers with its rolling hills and mountain peaks, so be sure to pack your hiking gear. If you fancy a break from cooking, then why not treat yourselves to dinner at The Inn on the Lake, which offers home-cooked meals and breathtaking views. For breakfast or a light lunch, you can visit Helvellyn Country Kitchen or nestle beside a fire in a traditional pub, which can be found in the lakeside village of Glenridding. Glenridding is a wonderful lakeside village, hugging the southern edge of Ullswater in the wondrous Lake District National Park. It offers the essentials of a convenience store, a café and a selection of characterful pubs. Some of the pubs overlook the picturesque Ullswater lake, where you can try your hand at some exhilarating outdoor pursuits, or perhaps take a soothing cruise on one of the Ullswater Steamers

About the location

HARTSOP

The delightful hamlet of Hartsop lies in the Patterdale valley. It has retained its historic image with charming 17th-century grey stone cottages and working sheep farms. Hartsop is right in the heart of the Lake District and in the midst of some of the finest walking country that the area has to offer. It is a popular starting point for hill walkers climbing on the High Street range and the Helvellyn range. The village is overlooked by Brock Crags and Hartsop Dodd. It is a great centre for touring to all parts of the area and would provide a pleasant place to unwind. Ullswater Lake is less than 3 miles away giving you access to sailing, kayaking, and lake cruises.

Please note: Bluebelle is located on a working farm. From time to time, there will be maintenance work carried out and the owners will be available if you have any questions. Please keep dogs on a lead at all times due to live stock and the nature of the location.
