Lakelovers dog friendly lodges deliver on comfort and convenience. Our lodges are purpose built and expertly maintained with your holiday in mind. We take pride in ensuring that we offer the very best. This is why you’ll find gorgeous wood burning stoves for colder days. Plus light and airy spaces with patio windows and wraparound verandas for when the sun’s out.

Bedrooms, bathrooms and en suites are luxurious with plenty of storage space, power showers and king size beds for Mum and Dad. After a day on the fells in dog walking paradise, owners can yelp with delight at the in-lodge connectivity! Yes, you may be staying in the woods but that doesn’t mean missing the latest cup tie or derby. WiFi, smart TVs and entertainment packages like Sky and Freeview are some of the home comforts available.

We have high quality, pet friendly lodges on some of the best Lake District resort estates. Such as Newby Bridge Caravan Park, Hill of Oaks Park, Fallbarrow Park and White Cross Bay Leisure Park. These make for an ideal family getaway in the Lakes. You will have access to a range of onside facilities. These include swimming pool, shop, restaurant and entertainment. Get back to nature without missing out on the fun!

Barking in the woods

TVs and WiFi aside, log cabin holidays with dogs in a secluded location will get pets barking with delight. With no traffic around and lots of new sights and smells to explore, tails will be wagging and tongues lolling with delight. For active pets Grizedale Forest, Coniston, is a natural obstacle course filled with challenges and exciting trails.

The café there is very dog and muddy boot friendly too, for some post-walk treats. Wet noses will be firmly set on the path on the delightful circular walk at Grasmere and Rydal Water. Here you can explore Rydal Caves that will intrigue. Along with woods filled with unexpected sounds and shallow pebbly water, perfect for a refreshment and game of fetch. If it’s time to get out of the woods, in the northern Lakes visit the market town of Keswick. The town was twice voted Britain’s most dog friendly town by the Kennel Club. Browse our collection of dog friendly cabins as they are all unique, just like their woodland settings. Are you looking for a large lodge for a gathering or a luxurious and romantic timber hideaway? Is it easy access to the fells or a more convenient location that you’re looking for, on the doorstep of Windermere?

All shapes and sizes

Our dog friendly holiday lodges are high quality. So will appeal to holidaymakers looking for something special to share with their well-behaved pooch.

From affectionate and loving Golden Labs to intelligent and fit Beagles, we have a range of dog friendly log cabins to suit all shapes and sizes. From £399 to £695 a week, we hope we have what you are looking for.

If you don’t plan on leaving your holiday lodge, a nice private garden with outdoor hot tub and al fresco dining area would be preferred. Or maybe it is a luxury log cabin that will have you howling with happiness.

Pooch friendly walks and watering holes

Here’s some top dog friendly walks of varying difficulty as recommended by Lakelovers holidaymakers. Take in some of the best Lake District’s sights. Like Surprise View looking down on Derwent Water, or hit the trails of the old copper mines on the Old Man of Coniston. Haweswater provides tonnes of open space for a chase about. But be mindful of wildlife in this particular scenic part of the Lakes. For less hardy dog walkers, a stroll around Tarn Hows at Hawkshead is sheltered and easy underfoot. This is a good choice for anyone needing an easy access walk too.

Take in some of Ambleside’s superb walks, such as Skelghyll Force, White Moss or the popular Loughrigg Fell. Then head to Barngates, outside Ambleside, for a pint of Tag Lag, Cracker or Red Bull. All from the gastro pub’s onsite microbrewery and named after much-loved pets.

Head to another microbrewery the Watermill Inn at Ings, Kendal. Both dogs and owners are welcomed with a smile and delicious refreshment. The renowned Kentmere Horseshoe nearby, has 7 different fells to tackle for those with a taste for a challenge.

For walkers and their four-legged companions, a hike up Helm Crag ending in a trip to Tweedies Bar, a dog friendly CAMRA pub in Grasmere, is a must.

We hope to have pricked your ears with the many options available on a dog friendly lodge holiday. Visit the beautiful breathing space that is the Lake District National Park.
