We’re often approached by various Newspapers,Travel Bloggers, Magazines and other influential websites with PR, editorial and competition requests. 2015 saw us offer 14 different properties for reviews and editorials across a range of media channels, as well as 4 competition prizes via Lakeland, Animal Planet, Lakes & Cumbria Magazine and Choose South Cumbria.
For 2016, we gave owners the chance to put themselves forward for a preferential contact list, which saw them presented first when opportunities in 2016 arose. Those select properties were then used for various projects, throughout the year including competitions with: Go Lakes, The Lake District National Park, Lakes and Cumbria Magazine, A Luxury Travel Blog, Jennings Brewery, Choose South Cumbria and Lakeland (Plastics). We have also offered properties for PR stays in: The Express, Luxe Travel Magazine and Mumsnet. 2016 also saw one of our properties used for filming by ITV for a competition segment featured on ITV’s This Morning and Lorraine!
In 2019, we would like to expand this offering even further, giving more properties the opportunity to experience the extra exposure that they deserve. Your properties could be used as a competition prize, for an independent online property review, editorials or location filming.
To be involved, you will most likely be required to offer a free stay in your property for up to 7 nights, (this may be as little as 1 or 2 days, for filming opportunities). Lakelovers cover the cost of cleaning at the end of the stay and you will be provided with all the relevant information at the time, as to where and when your PR will be published.
To be included in our YES list, simply email [email protected] with the subject YES TO PR – (don’t forget to include a contact name and property name in the email) – and when an opportunity arises, your property will be immediately put forward by Lakelovers on your behalf. If your property is selected as suitable, we will then contact you to make final arrangements.
The aim of our YES list, is to ensure that more PR opportunities are secured with a pro-active approach, to avoid losing out due to time delays making contact with you.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those properties involved in 2015 and 2016 and we very much look forward to adding more of you to our list for 2017!
