The more adventurous can seek out the challenging Fairfield Horseshoe, one of the classic mountain walks the Lake District has to offer. Literary fans can easily visit Rydal Mount, the family home of the Wordsworth. Or simply enjoy the eclectic selection of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes that Ambleside has to offer.

Along with a private parking space the property has its own lockable garage suitable for either one car and/or mountain bike/canoe storage. Additional visitor parking is available nearby. Located the on the first floor and accessed via and internal staircase, the front door of the apartment opens to a hallway with coat hanging, boot rack and storage cupboard. The comfortable lounge is bright and airy and has panoramic windows looking out over Ambleside to the fells beyond. The kitchen is well equipped with a large dining table, and French windows to the balcony complete with a companion seat to sit and relax over an evening drink or a morning coffee. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished and the master bedroom offers an ensuite shower room. The contemporary family bathroom is finished to a high standard with a large walk in shower. The apartment shares a large mature communal garden with shrubs and trees and more of those beautiful views.
Location
Ambleside village is one of the Lake District's gems. Traditional yet cosmopolitan, friendly and full of quirky Cumbrian surprises. An excellent range of local shops provide everything you need to stock up the kitchen. A wide range of excellent restaurants are available to try (including those on the stunning shores of Lake Windermere), Lakeland pubs to wind down in and an excellent cinema too. The main attraction is of course Lake Windermere's shore. Within a few minutes you'll be walking on to Waterhead Pier and taking a leisurely lake cruise to Bowness or Lakeside.
For day trips throughout the Lakes, Ambleside is a great place to start. The A591 leads north to Rydal Water, Grasmere, Coniston and Langdale, or south to Troutbeck, Windermere and Bowness.
