Cunsey Lake House stands overlooking picturesque Lake Windermere, England's largest lake. This is a peaceful rural location with the hamlets of Cunsey and Far Sawrey easily accessible. However, Hawkshead and Ambleside remain close by and the bustling centre of Bowness, with its attractions, shops, evening entertainments and restaurants, is only a short trip away on the car ferry across the lake.
Traditional Lake District cottages and walking routes surround you in this spectacular location. You're really at the heart of the Lakes and some of our most revered scenery. To the west lies the breathtaking scenery of Coniston Water and the surrounding fells, where boating activities and some of the Lakes' most famous walks await you.
Nearby Grizedale Forest provides scenic forest walks, sculpture trails and mountain biking tracks. The village of Near Sawrey has an excellent local; The Tower Bank Arms, which is a wonderful traditional Lake District country pub.
