Situated in the heart of the Lake District there are a myriad of walks from the door, follow in the footsteps of William Wordsworth and enjoy an afternoon stroll to Grasmere, the more adventurous might head out onto Fairfield Horseshoe a favourite of many a Lakeland Fell walker or enjoy any evening walk to take in one of Lakeland's most beautiful panoramas from the nearby Loughrigg Fell

On entering the property the cottage is spread over three floor. The front door leads to a spacious hallway with space for boots and walking gear. The kitchen is well laid out and finished to a high standard. The living area offers fantastic view to Loughrigg Fell and offers comfortable leather sofas, a large dining table, patio windows and a balcony. From the hallway there is internal access to the garage with utilities and there is also a cloakroom with WC.
Upstairs the master bedroom is spacious with a king size bed and dressing area and a quiet space for reading. The second bedroom on this floor is a charming twin bedded room with large velux windows giving it a bright and airy feel. The spacious, quality, family bathroom offers a bath with shower over.
On the lower ground floor there are two more double bedrooms, one with a king size bed. Both enjoy views above the rooftops to the fells beyond and one offers a large patio window that opens onto a sheltered patio. The second, luxurious, bathroom serves this floor and offers a bath with shower.
To the rear of the property is a small lawned garden with mature shrubs and a hedges that offer privacy. The patio is a lovely place to sit and relax in an evening after a day on the Fells. To the front of the property there is parking for two cars outside the front door, the garage also offers secure storage for mountain bikes or canoes.

Edelweiss is only a short stroll from the centre of Ambleside. Ambleside village is located on the northern shores of Lake Windermere. The surrounding scenery of Lakeland Fells is dramatic, and lends a stunning backdrop to the Lakeland stone buildings and attractive streets of the village. One of the Lake District's most sophisticated communities, Ambleside village is alive with interesting local businesses, shops and acclaimed Lake District restaurants and pubs.
Larger groups or families will love the freedom this location brings. Stroll to the shops or out for a coffee, then wander to Waterhead Pier to take a cruise on the Lake. Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly from Waterhead Pier (just outside the village centre) and provide a scenic and car free route to Bowness and Lakeside. A fabulous way for all to explore.
For walking, Ambleside is renowned as a hub for enthusiasts. Numerous famous routes begin close by, and a wide range of strolls take in breath-taking scenery without having to travel too far. Ambleside is well stocked with outdoor shops and route information is widely available.

The A591 winds its way from Ambleside to Grasmere and Keswick, branching off to Coniston and such delights as the Langdale Valley and Hawkshead.
