This rather luxurious Lake District cottage in Chapel Stile village is a walkers’ paradise at the heart of the Langdales. Lakeland slate on the outside, lovely mountain and village scenes through almost every window, and a sympathetic refurbishment off-setting old oak beams with crisp decor and chic slate floors.
Contemporary comforts spread over the three floors; sumptuous cottage bedrooms, sleek designer bathrooms and a top floor lounge with a newly installed woodburning stove and a sizeable, furnished, south-facing balcony for lazy summer brunches or just a cool place to chill out after those hard days on the fells. Active families will have no need to use their car, couples will relish the romantic location and cosy evenings by the woodburning stove and all will be glad of the short walk to the Good Pub Guide listed Wainwrights Inn.
