Accommodation in detail
Just off the heart of this village a private driveway leads to three cottages, Foxglove Cottage being the end cottage and with private parking for two right outside. An entrance porch leads into the open plan living space, what a great area to relax by the fire and sink into the sumptuous furnishings with a plethora of old oak beams; an opening into the modern and very well equipped kitchen / dining room with patio doors leading out to the garden. A staircase leads to the beautifully furnished bedrooms, the king size room with luxurious en-suite bathroom complete with double ended Jacuzzi bath with shower over and the twin bedroom has a separate bathroom with shower over the bath. Outside is the beautiful garden with patio and furniture, perfect for al-fresco living.
On the eastern shores of Lake Windermere, Bowness is a sophisticated Lakeland village with a wealth to explore and enjoy. Stroll to the lake shore to hire a row boat or power boat, or take an elegant cruise on one of the Lake Windermere steamers. Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly to Ambleside and Lakeside; a wonderful way to explore without even using your car.
