    “A delightful property.”

The owners have thought of everything - including a lovely welcome pack. Everything is bright, clean, modern but with the added bonus of an open fire. The views are spectacular and the bus stop (one minute walk) means you can ditch the car and explore Ambleside, Grassmere and Keswick. A good, reasonably priced restaurant opposite bus stop. What more could you want? An outstanding property.

The property

Overlooking the lake and mountains, this Visit England 4 Star Gold awarded former coach house, in the heart of the Lake District, has been transformed with sensitivity and flair into an airy, inviting retreat full of character and charm. Emanating warmth and comfort, a mix of vintage and modern creates a style that flows through each room and creates a lovely atmosphere in which to socialise with your friends and family. A quiet location, but minutes from the centre of Bowness and Lake Windermere. Luxury sofas and chairs, soft throws and cushions, make Harrison Stickle elegant yet unpretentious. It is a place to put up your feet and relax in front of the fire without a care in the world, other than which adventure to foray out on, into this beautiful National Park. Built upon a knoll, a pretty terrace sweeps down into an old kitchen garden, which is full of wildlife. With a breathtaking backdrop of high fells, from Bowfell in the West, through to the climbers' paradise of the Langdales to the Helvellyn group in the East. The extensive views of the northern half of Lake Windermere defy this quietly tucked away place with ample private parking, yet within a minute's walk of the bustle of Bowness-on-Windermere. ==Accommodation in detail Ample off road private parking for 2 cars and bike shed if required. With an entrance hall leading upstairs into an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, which has a gorgeous view of Lake Windermere and surrounding fells. The large French windows enable you to step out onto the spacious balcony, with uninterrupted views over the garden and playing field, to the mountains beyond; a lovely place to sit for morning coffee on fine days. Inside are contemporary, luxury furnishings by an open fire, (first fire's coal provided). The well equipped kitchen has a solid oak breakfast bar. There is unlimited Wi-fi access, and an interesting selection of reading books and DVD's to while away a lazy day. The picnic basket is poised ready for the more adventurous expedition! Downstairs are the bedrooms and bathrooms, comfortably appointed with enormous king size beds, deep mattresses and Egyptian linens. The master en-suite has a Matki walk in rain shower. Both bedrooms with wonderful lake views, the guest bedroom is immediately opposite the house bathroom, with corner bath and shower cubicle. Location On the eastern shores of Lake Windermere, Bowness is a sophisticated Lakeland village with a wealth of shops and restaurants to explore and enjoy. Stroll to the lake shore to hire a row boat or power boat, or take a cruise on one of the Lake Windermere steamers. Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly to Ambleside and Lakeside; a wonderful way to explore without even using your car. Windermere Golf Club is just outside Bowness village, on the way to the Lyth Valley. This area is also renowned for gentle but very scenic walking, with a wealth of acclaimed Lake District country pubs to choose from at the end of the day.
