To the rear of the house, the modern kitchen has all you may need (with smart black granite worktops) which complement the fitted units. It is equipped with a gas Rangemaster hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer and a quality inventory. The dining area has a large table and is ideal for family occasions or social dinners with friends.
The lower ground floor has a fantastic family den/games room, a great room to escape to read a paper or a book, or for the kids to play on the PlayStation or watch a DVD on the large TV. A convenient additional WC is located on this floor.
To the rear of the property there is handy utility room where the washing machine and tumbler drier live.
On the first floor is a superb family bathroom with roll top bath, corner shower cubicle, basin and WC. Choose from two well-presented king size bedrooms, both with TV’s and one with ensuite bathroom with bath and shower over, WC and basin. On the second floor there are a further three well-presented bedrooms all with ensuite shower rooms. Ambleside is one of the most vibrant, and perhaps the most sophisticated village in the Lake District. It's lake shore location and excellent facilities make it the ideal choice for a self-catering break. Only seconds from your door you'll find a superb range of excellent restaurants, tasty cafes, local delicatessens, interesting shops, cinema and more. The shore of Lake Windermere is also only a stroll away at Waterhead Pier, where pub restaurants overlook the lake and Windermere Lake Cruises depart with trips to Bowness and Lakeside. A unique day out!
For exploring the rest of the Lake District, walkers and cyclists (or even just self-confessed foodies!) will find Ambleside an ideal base. The A591 leads you south to Troutbeck, Windermere and Bowness, or north to Rydal Water, Grasmere then on to Langdale, Coniston or Keswick.
