Hello the location was fine however it’s not a lodge it’s an extension to the owners house along with another extension privacy was an issue also I texted the owner to let her know the roof was leaking in the lounge she said she had it repaired 4times but only being 30 seconds from us didn’t look at the leak we had to move furniture away from the leak also there was mould on all the windows

I was aware that there had been a small leak and had asked the roofers back 4 x in 3 weeks. I therefore did not attend the property as I knew where it was. The property is correctly described as attached to my house . A “ Lodge” in the Lakes is usually a caravan The patio doors were only fitted in November 2023 and are therefore weeks old. They do not have mould. A sad review to which I take exception Property Owner

It's perfect for exploring the Lakeland countryside, but equally well-placed to enjoy the delights of Bowness village which is only a couple of miles away. Lake Lodge is full of character; cosy and homely with wonderful touches such as a four-poster bed and woodburning stove. Dine in alongside a picture window, sit out on your decked terrace to admire the location, or soak in the jacuzzi hot tub with a glass of something special. Unforgettable! The owners regret that this property does not accept babies, and is not advisable for the infirm. Please let us know your estimated time of arrival when making a booking. Accommodation in detail Private parking for 1 car. Enter via hallway to the cosy lounge, with full length patio doors overlooking Lake Windermere, woodburning stove and sumptuous furnishings. Double bedroom with a raised platform to show off the fabulous four-poster bed. Separate shower room. The kitchen is well-equipped, with pleasant dining space next to a picturesque window. Outside, you'll find a scenic decked terrace and garden with hot tub. Location This romantic Lake District location takes you safely away from the crowds, but it's also very convenient for exploring the delights of Bowness - the Lake District's most popular holiday destination. Windermere Golf Club's scenic course is also within easy reach. Bowness high street is modern and sophisticated, with supermarkets and shops providing everything you could need during your stay. Stroll down to Bowness Pier, and you'll find several options for taking to the water. Hired row boats come and go, and the elegant Windermere steamers depart regularly to Ambleside and Lakeside - a perfect way to explore without using a car. Windermere Lake Cruises also offer romantic evening cruises, with buffet food and even live music. A real treat on a special occasion. By night, you'll find endless choice for a special evening out - from the cosy traditional pubs such as the 'Hole int Wall', to contemporary restaurants and bars. For a special treat, we recommend that you sample one of the renowned Lake District gastropubs in the Lyth Valley, just to the east of Bowness. There are several to choose from, but The Mason's Arms at Strawberry Bank follows particularly well after a walk on Gummers How!
