The property is set over upper two floors above an office in the pedestrianised area of the town and has been carefully created by the owner to offer quality accommodation ideal for families or friends who are looking to be right in the heart of the town and yet seek easy access to all the Lake District has to offer.
Accommodation in detail
The property is approached through the front door from Lake Road that opens to a large hallway with sufficient space for mountain bikes and outdoor gear and from here the stairs lead to the second floor entrance to the apartment and on this level you are welcomed to a bright and spacious lounge with comfortable sofas, electric fire and TV. The modern kitchen is well equipped and provides electric hob and oven, dishwasher and large fridge freezer. The large family dining place is the ideal spot to gather for breakfast or enjoy a dinner with friends. The two smart shower rooms have excellent power shower and also basin and WC.
On the top floor there are three welcoming bedrooms, all with their own TVs. The first is furnished with a king sized bed, the second twin beds and the third can be made up as either twin beds or a superking (please remember to advise us of your choice of arrangements when you book). Having reached the top of the building you now, of course, have beautiful views over the roof tops and across the town to the stunning mountain scenery that surrounds the town on every side.
As Lake Road Apartment is situated in the pedestrianised area of the town, access by car to the front door is available only for unloading. Parking is available two minutes walk away the Central Car Park and the owner has provided a complimentary parking permit for one car for the duration of your stay.Other cars can also be parked here but parking charges apply
The owners welcome up to two well behaved dogs but due to the town centre location this property does not have its own garden but the popular Hope Park is located just one minutes' walk away

If you are looking for somewhere to eat and drink, a week just won't be long enough to sample the great range of pubs, restaurants, bistros, cafes and wine bars! For a great evening out why not visit the 100 year old Alhambra offering first class cinema entertainment in traditional surroundings or enjoy an evening at “the most beautiful and friendly theatre in Britain”, the 400 seat Theatre By The Lake on the shores of Derwentwater.
Enjoy a cruise on Derwentwater, walk onto the fells; Cat Bells, Skiddaw, Coledale Horeshoe and Blencathra are all nearby, head underground at Honister Slate Mines, enjoy mountain biking in Whinlatter Forest.
For day trips throughout the Lake District, Ullswater is a short drive away offering lake cruises, great walking and the beautiful Aira Force Waterfall, Buttermere and Crummock Water offer sublime scenery. Ashness Bridge and Surprise View situated above the Borrowdale Valley should not be missed and perhaps even a cup of tea and homemade cake in the unspoilt village of Watendlath.
