“Had a lovely stay in the well equipped flat.”

very comfortable however just a couple of issues. 1. understand the reason for the washer being turned off but it would have been better if we had been informed before we got there. 2. recycling was an issue. no box and we were also not informed what we could recycle.

The property

This peaceful ground floor apartment lies only a stone's throw from the centre of Bowness village and the elegant shores of Lake Windermere. It has a pretty, colourful patio garden, and offers elegant space for couples to spread out and relax. The attractive double bedroom opens out to a raised sitting area overlooking the garden - a treat for lazy mornings. You'll even find room to invite guests for dinner, unless you're tempted by the range of excellent pubs and eateries on your doorstep in Bowness village. Mosslea is an excellent choice if you'd prefer not to drive during your Lake District holiday. Stroll to Bowness Pier and take a steamer cruise to Ambelside or Lakeside, or hop on one of the Lake District bus tours departing in the village centre. == Accommodation in detail Private parking for 1 car. Entrance hall with cloaks cupboard. Well-equipped breakfast kitchen with a pleasant outlook to the garden. The living room also enjoys a pleasant outlook through a large window. Open to this room is the dining area, with a 2nd large window. The double bedroom is modern and fresh, with a patio door leading to a raised seating area which overlooks the garden. Bathroom with shower over bath. Location Bowness is a delightful and well-served Lakeland village, on the eastern shores of Lake Windermere, England's largest lake. The village has a contemporary shopping street with everything you could need during your self-catering holiday in the Lake District. Tesco supermarket, tempting delicatessens and boutique gift shops too. The real attraction of a holiday in Bowness is Lake Windermere. Hire boats come and go in Bowness Bay, swans wander freely on the lake shore, and yachts can be seen racing from the Royal Windermere Yacht Club. The famous Lake Windermere steamers depart regularly from Bowness Pier, providing a very scenic car-free route to both Ambleside and Lakeside. Windermere Golf Club is just outside Bowness, on the way towards Crook and the Lyth and Winster Valleys. Even if you're not a golfer, we recommend a scenic drive to one of the excellent Lake District country pubs in the Lyth Valley or Winster Valley, such as the Mason's Arms at Strawberry Bank or the Brown Horse at Winster. A Sunday treat!

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
