Easy access to the busier resorts of Windermere and Bowness is readily available by way of a short train journey from the village station or open top bus ride, both just a short stroll from the door of the cottage. The Dales Way walkers amongst you will appreciate what’s referred to as one of the best section of the route whilst outdoor enthusiasts will revel in the numerous ‘on the doorstep’ opportunities to explore the beautiful Kentmere Valley.
The level streets of Staveley are lined with an interesting selection of artisan crafts, art galleries, coffee shops and hostelries and at the very heart of this thriving village lies the remains of a medieval church, now a clock tower and listed building Food lovers will delight in Staveley's exceptional culinary offering from an award winning chippy to the establishments located in the Mill Yard; home to More? Artisan Bakery, the popular walker's café 'Wilf's' and the award winning Hawkshead Brewery and Beer Hall where you'll often find live music evening in the main bar area.
Mulberry Cottage offers very comfortable, open plan living to the ground floor with deep cushioned sofas arranged around a warming multi fuel stove, facilities to include colour TV, DVD, CD hifi and of course, that all important WiFi access. The kitchen dining room offers breakfast bar seating but a traditional dining table is also provided for more formal dinners, the kitchen offering an electric oven and hob, washer/drier, fridge, freezer and microwave. The first floor accommodation offers a spacious kingsize bedroom with solid pine furnishings, colour TV and window seating and a further single bedroom to the rear. Both bedrooms share a rather neat and ingeniously designed shower room with cubicle, handbasin and wc.
Outside, strategically placed bench seating, big enough for two is just the spot to perch and enjoy a cuppa whilst reading the Sunday papers. There is roadside parking readily available directly outside the property and further on street parking nearby.
