Accommodation in detail
From the parking space a small picket gate opens into the tiered front garden and the steps down lead past the sun deck and onto the patio and to the front door of Oak Cottage. Opening onto a traditional Victorian hallway, there is plenty of space to hang coats. The cosy sitting room offers a lovely wood burning stove, TV and the large bay window overlooks the patio and is offered privacy from the road by the garden.
The spacious kitchen / diner is finished to a very high standard with quality appliances including fridge, freezer, washer/drier and dishwasher in addition to the electric hob and oven. The dining table is ideally suited for both breakfast and dinner in the evening and certainly it feels like the heart of the home. The back door from the kitchen leads to a small rear yard and level access to the street.
Stairs from the hallway lead to the landing and the two bedrooms. The master bedroom, to the front of the property with its king size bed is a welcoming retreat after a day out and about exploring the Lakes. The second bedroom, with twin beds, has a small, but well-appointed ensuite shower room with WC. The bedrooms are complemented by a family bathroom, which is again finished to a very high standard and include a bath with shower over, basin and WC.
To the front of the property the owners have made maximum use of the space by creating three tiers in the garden. The patio area which is ideal for alfresco dining, the sun deck to relax and enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening and the third tier planted with shrubs to offer privacy. The owners have also created at the top of the garden, a private parking space for one car, but have also included a parking permit at the property that offer permit parking nearby for guests wishing to arrive with more than one car.
