This magnificent luxury farmhouse stands secluded at the top of the Kentmere Valley with breathtaking views in every direction.
A true haven and walkers' paradise, Rawe Cottage has been tastefully refurbished, retaining traditional features but with many creative indulgences. Two reception rooms will cater for the grandest of social events, with woodburning stoves in both and a dramatic vaulted ceiling in one.
Let the party extend to the scenic patio, where a rustic outdoor fireplace will warm those chilly evenings. When you've had your fill of fresh air, soothe your muscles in the sauna! Staveley is just a few miles away down a country lane, and Lake Windermere only 3 miles further.

The Kentmere Valley is a narrow valley surrounded by a horseshoe of high fells, located to the east of Lake Windermere. The scenery is breathtaking, the atmosphere blissfully tranquil and the location within surprisingly easy reach of Lake Windermere and other highlights of the Lake District. But when popular Lakes holiday destinations are teeming at bank holidays and school holidays, the Kentmere Valley remains relatively untouched.
The Kentmere Valley is approached via a small country lane from the village of Staveley. Staveley is a pretty little village between Kendal and Winderere; a popular hub for walkers and cyclists hence the excellent walkers' cafe. There is a famous brewery in Staveley - the Hawkshead Brewery - where you can enjoy a local pint in the beer hall. Staveley's Eagle & Child pub is also a must during your stay.
Kentmere Valley is a popular location for a Lake District walking holiday, and you'll find many varied routes to enjoy from your doorstep. Mountain bikers and rock climbers find their high points too!
