A brand new 5 Star awarded property noted by Visit England as ‘Luxurious and memorable’.
Alongside the famous 'Stepping Stones' across the River Rothay at the foot of Loughrigg Fell lies this unique and contemporary self-catering abode; a riverside walk into Ambleside centre and within the picturesque hamlet of Rydal.
The owners of Riverside Terrace have spent years creating this truly unique and contemporary dedicated holiday home. Riverside Terrace View Point is situated at the end of the row of 3 properties and is located within the Stepping Stones Estate. Built on the site of the former stables; it overlooks the River Rothay and breath-taking Lakeland countryside.
The architect's vision was to create a design that could fit into the landscape with its curved shape and gently pitched green roof. The remit was to be as eco-friendly as possible with locally sourced stone and a very low carbon footprint. The extensive use of floor to ceiling bespoke glazing is designed to draw the fantastic setting in; with its ever-changing light and views.
Working closely with an interior designer, the owners have created interiors designed to appeal to guests who are looking for something special and unique. The quality interiors befit this stunning location and architecturally designed building. Great attention is paid to every design detail, from beautiful shower and bathrooms, bespoke kitchens to designer fabrics and furniture.

It's hard to describe the magic of this location; at the foot of Loughrigg Fell over the lane to the banks of the River Rothay and nestled in breath-taking landscapes between Ambleside and Rydal Water. Even when explored by car, this area is one of the Lake District's most beautiful with Lake Windermere almost on your doorstep... and from your classy pad you'll enjoy panoramic views throughout your stay.
The nearest village is Ambleside, a short 20 minute riverside walk away on the northern shores of Lake Windermere. Ambleside has long been one of the Lake District's most popular destinations; a pretty historic village that has grown to become one of the most sophisticated holiday communities in the Lake District.
The location is ideal for enjoying this fabulous village without being immersed in crowds. Superb shopping, excellent restaurants and fine local pubs share the streets with traditional Lakeland cottages and fascinating historic buildings. Just outside Ambleside village centre, Windermere Lake Cruises depart from the pier providing your car-free route to explore Bowness and Lakeside.
The other direction and a short walk will take you past serene Rydal Water and into the historic village of Grasmere; famed as a hub for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts but also home to such attractions as Dove Cottage - former home of the famous poet William Wordsworth.
As well as an abundance of walking to enjoy from your door, you'll find acclaimed Lake District country pubs aplenty in the surrounding area including the Badger Bar with its log fires, local ales and home cooked food a mere 7 minute walk away. The perfect way to refuel after a day on the fells (if you can tear yourself away from that view!)
