Accommodation in detail
Reached via the original and very grand entrance to the main Hall, Robyn's Nest sits on the second floor (no lift). Useful space is available in the hallway for suitcases, jackets and walking boots. Right of the hallway is the superb kingsize bedroom with well chosen fittings and accessories including a Pure digital radio with bluetooth and iPod connection. The adjacent Villeroy and Boch bathroom is enormous, fully tiled with double shower cubicle, separate bath, heated towel rail, handbasin and wc. The open plan living area is a glorious space with the interesting roofline dominating the features; light and bright and dressed beautifully with the emphasis on comfort and style. High windows give way to views out over the grounds and adjacent National Trust land frequented by a variety of wildlife, deer and badgers to name but a few. The large velux window provides a stunning vista towards the Kentmere Fell range tempting even the most novice of walkers to get on their boots and head to the fells. The living space contains a 5-seat L-shaped sofa, a 49" smart TV and an all-in-one sound bar. The separate white gloss kitchen provides ample working space and top quality facilities with integrated Neff appliances (oven, hob, microwave fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer) as well as an espresso coffee maker.
There is a numbered car parking space for one car within the private level parking area and further visitor's spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. Secure cycle storage is also available in a purpose built unit in the parking area. Feel welcome to wander around the Hall's manicured grounds and woodland, or take a seat on the shared patio, just the spot to take in the surrounding and see the family of deer that regularly visit. Applethwaite Hall is a great base for walkers, cyclists or those who just love to be in the great outdoors.
