Enter into Rosegarth's enormous and welcoming entrance hall with useful, adjacent WC providing plenty of hanging space for all your outdoor gear. The social kitchen and dining room are a step down from here, well fitted with a great range of units and facilities for creating family lunches and brunches; fridge, freezer, washer/drier, microwave, dishwasher, electric oven and gas hob. The dining area has a warming gas fire, a cosy chesterfield sofa and French doors opening out to the terrace and gardens. Rosegarth is south facing, the lounge to the rear of the house a terrific, light and airy space with a further ornate gas fire for snuggling around in the cooler months and ample, deep cushioned sofas allowing everyone to gather round and watch those not-to-be-missed soaps or reality shows.
Stairs to the first floor bring you to the master king size bedroom with ornate four poster bed and complimenting furnishings enjoying an en-suite bathroom with shower over short bath, hand basin and wc and with delightful views out over the gardens to the marina beyond. The second king size bedroom is also en-suite to a shower over short bath, hand basin and wc. A further, elegantly styled twin and delightfully dressed single complete the offering and share in the recently refurbished house bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and wc on the same floor.
Private, off road parking is available here at Rosegarth for two cars and secure storage is also available for bicycles and outdoor gear if required. The enclosed, terraced gardens offer a choice of seating areas and a small lawn to enjoy when our typical Lakeland weather will allow and can be accessed via the French doors in the lounge allowing the outside in.
An easy, five minute walk from Rosegarth brings you to the steamer pier from where the magnificent steam yachts Swan, Teal and Tern depart for their round the lake cruises regularly throughout the year. The promenade around The Glebe is just the spot to potter at the water's edge, feed the inquisitive swans and take in the stunning vista north towards the Ambleside fell range and the Langdale Pikes. The busy town of Bowness and her neighbour, Windermere just a mile and a half up the road offer a great selection of shops and eateries for all budgets and a host of attractions for all the family; pay a visit to The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction to see the writer's tales spring to life or hop on the excellent local bus service to Brockhole, just outside Ambleside for a thrilling Treetop Trek or try their latest challenge, Brave the Cave for a thrilling, caving experience.
