Accommodation In Detail
A three bedroom property sleeping up to six persons, overlooking Lake Windemere. Silverholme forms part of a Lakeside stone mill providing a ground floor apartment with breath taking views of Windermere from the main living area.
The front door opens to a hallway leading to the living area and the bedrooms. A beautiful arched feature window frames the stunning view of Lake Windermere just across the lane from the lounge. The open plan living area features comfy leather corner sofa, a large screen TV, cosy log burning stove, a large family dining table and a contemporary fully fitted kitchen equipped with electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
Leading off the hall way there are three bedrooms all of which are beautifully furnished and include a TV. The master bedroom is to the front of the property to take advantage of the lake view and is furnished with a king size bed, and includes and ensuite shower room with walk in shower, basin and WC. The second and third bedroom are to the rear of the property, the first with a king size bed and the final bedroom offers twin beds. These two bedrooms share a spacious family bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. Off the hallway there is a utility cupboard with washer drier.
Parking is next to the property alongside the private patio area.
Bowness village is only a few miles from silverholme, this lovely Lake District village is popular with tourists and locals alike, it acts as the perfect starting point for your Lake District adventure. Situated on the eastern shore of Lake Windermere, Bowness is heaving with cafes, restaurants and watering holes and there is plenty of choice for an evening out on the town; featuring a cinema, theatre and even a lakeshore nightclub!
There's all the amenities such as supermarkets, greengrocers and quaint shops awaiting a leisurely browse, seeing to all your souvenir needs. Many activities can be carried out on, around and above Lake Windermere; you may enjoy a gentle stroll at dusk or possibly a strenuous hike at dawn, maybe you want to delve into the Lakes this District is famous for, choose from an endless list of water-friendly activities. Here you can explore what poet William Wordsworth called "the loveliest of all the lakes" by taking a 'Steamer' from Glenridding to Pooley Bridge. If you take the coast road for 50 minutes you will come to Ravenglass, Lakeland's only coastal village where there is so much to see and do including a Roman Bath House, 13th century castle and the oldest, longest and most scenic Lake District railway - the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway.
