Park in the grounds of Stepping Stones, go up stone steps and walk through gardens to your own private patio area and front door. Entrance leads into a fully equipped kitchen and dining area with traditional vaulted ceilings and garden views. Two steps lead up to a cosy lounge with comfortable seating, flat screened TV, DVD and stereo. From the lounge two steps lead to a hallway, turning right leads to the ensuite bedroom and shower room, and in the opposite direction to the king size and single bedrooms and bathroom. The lovely bedrooms with pitched ceilings and Velux windows, combined with the character of the living and dining areas give you an instant barn conversion feel. This secluded retreat near lovely little Rydal Water boasts strong connections with the poet William Wordsworth, who was inspired by the stunning surroundings. Walks from the door can take in Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount - two of Wordsworth's family homes. The poet's favourite viewpoint can be reached on the western end of the lake, and the tranquil surroundings are truly inspirational - not just to writers!
