With a parking permit provided, you can park on the lane outside the cottage and there is also a private space at the rear of the property. Wander through the pretty cottage garden and enter into an entrance hall with the start of the oak flooring; there are two reception rooms here, one with leather furnishings by the slate fireplace and with bay window enjoying views towards Loughrigg; the second reception room has a warming woodburner and access to the clever terraced glazed balcony looking out towards Fairfield; perfect for a glass or two! Downstairs to the sophisticated kitchen / dining area, open plan and with access to the rear and also with useful utility and 4th WC / wash basin.
Upstairs from the entrance level to the super king size bedroom, which can be split into a twin so please specify when booking. On this level is the twin bedroom and luxury bathroom with power shower over the bath. Stairs lead to the top floor and here there are two superb king size bedrooms with bird's eye wonderful views; these two bedrooms enjoy en-suite power shower rooms.

Windermere Lake Cruises depart from Waterhead Pier, just outside Ambleside village centre. The elegant 'steamers' offer regular trips to Bowness and Lakeside - a great way to explore without driving. Evening cruises are also available, sometimes with buffet meals and live music.
