Stroll along Bowness Bay to watch yachts come and go, hire a power boat or row boat on Lake Windermere, or take a memorable cruise on the Windermere Lake steamers - a great way to get to Ambleside or Lakeside without even using the car! There's plenty to do on rainy days, with the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, a cinema and even a theatre. Don't forget Lakes Aquarium, at the south end of the Lake.
