Accommodation in detail:
Pull up onto the driveway and park two cars right outside, wander through the garden and enter the cottage from the rear but stop and gaze at the view first; entrance hall with access to the living space and wall of glass also admiring the wonderful view, this is a great place to relax and spread out and the very well appointed kitchen is open to the living space making the perfect sociable space possible. On the ground level is a cloakroom which houses the washer / dryer. At this level is one of the sumptuous king size bedrooms with en-suite bathroom complete with monsoon shower cubicle and corner bath, a great place to soak away any walking aches of the day. Upstairs to the second king size bedroom also with en-suite luxury bathroom and with strategically places star gazing window. The gardens and landscaped patio are a true delight and many a day will be spent sitting here admiring the views and from here you enter the Pavilion, the games room complete with snooker table and table tennis.
The property also benefits leisure club membership at a discounted rate. For only £5 you can get a daily pass to the Cascades Health Spa & Fitness Club at the Whitewater Hotel. Also you can get a 10% reduction off any of their spa treatments.
In beautiful gardens with paddock and woodland to enjoy, circumscribed by blissful and simply breathtaking scenery you could easily describe the setting here as secluded, yet only a short distance and you are at the very southern tip of Lake Windermere, in the small hamlet of Lakeside and another wonderfully peaceful setting with both the Lakeside and Swan Hotels serving tempting distractions together with superb leisure club facilities. Lakeside is home to two fantastic Lake District attractions; the freshwater Lakes Aquarium and one end of the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway - take a short trip on a traditional steam train. Historic sites such as Scott Park Bobbin Mill, Sizergh Castle, Levens Hall and Holker Hall & Gardens are all within easy reach by car, with no need to navigate through busy tourist areas.
To your north west, you'll approach the landscapes that famously inspired the children's author Beatrix Potter via peaceful country lanes. Her former home can be visited at Hill Top, in the small village of Near Sawrey. Only a mile or so further, and you'll reach the enchanting village of Hawkshead - a wonderful place to while away a day, exploring quaint cobbled streets and a blissfully car-free village centre. For some of the best mountain biking territory you will find Grizedale Forrest a must.
