We refer to the entrance to this property as the 'tradesman's entrance' as this is an unassuming entrance to The Lookout Lodge but once inside you realise why this property has been given this name. The entrance is into the top level of the property with hallway and cloakroom 3rd WC / wash basin.
The living room enjoys that stunning lake view and with bi-fold doors leading out onto the spectacular roof terrace; this is a room to relax in, sink into the leather furnishings on the oak flooring by the woodburning stove. From the inner hallways a staircase leads you down to the four bedrooms and two bathroom facilities. 2 double bedrooms, one twin and a bunk bedded room, the house bathroom has bath and separate shower cubicle and there is a power shower room. From this level there is access to the enclosed garden which has a gate leading down to the village and lake.

Stroll to the lake shore to hire a rowing boat or power boat, or take an elegant cruise on one of the Lake Windermere steamers. Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly to Ambleside and Lakeside; a wonderful way to explore without even using your car.
There are several excellent restaurants in Bowness village, within walking distance of The Lookout Lodge. The Postillion Restaurant is a long-standing favourite for stylish dining, while Lucy4 at the Porthole and Bodegas & Sol puts a contemporary twist on the tapas style. There are also plenty of traditional Lakeland pubs, both in the village centre and the surrounding countryside. Windermere Golf Club is just outside Bowness village, on the way to the Lyth Valley. This area is also renowned for gentle but very scenic walking, with a wealth of acclaimed Lake District country pubs to choose from at the end of the day.
Close to the village, you'll find Blackwell, The Arts and Crafts House. This impressive property takes a stunning position overlooking Lake Windermere, and has a range of interesting exhibitions.
