French windows lead out to the furnished sun terrace. The kitchen is well-equipped, modern and pleasantly finished with natural wood.

Nestled in countryside just a few miles east of Windermere village, Topiary Cottage enjoys a tranquil location in the small village of Ings. You'll find the well-loved Watermill Inn and brewery on your doorstep (a fine place to sample the local ale) and a useful shop close by.
Ings is also within a short walking distance of Staveley village; at the gateway to the stunning Kentmere Valley. There you'll find such treats as an artisan bakery, the Hawkshead brewery and beer hall, art galleries, cafes and more. It's a great place to begin a walk and a mecca for cyclists.
Just a few miles west, Windermere village is full of good eateries, from the famed Jerichos Restaurant to first-class fish & chips. You'll also find a wider range of shops including the high class Booths supermarket, which stocks the finest local produce along with everyday essentials.
Although outside the main tourist centres, the village of Ings is an excellent base for exploring the Lake District. Join the A591 and continue right into the heart of the Lakes, taking in Lake Windermere, Ambleside and Coniston then on to the Langdale Valley and beyond.
