All self catering accommodation in the Lake District, sleeping 4 to 6 people

If you are looking for a sleeps 4 to 6 property, you are most likely travelling to the Lake District either as a group or as a family with children. At Lakelovers, we understand that no two guests are the same and therefore no two holiday requirements are the same. So we have hand-picked our portfolio to offer a selection of unique properties, both in their looks and comforts.

One of the best features of self-catering accommodation, is unlike hotels, sleeps 6 does not mean 3 bedrooms. Many of our properties sleeping up to 6, have as many as 4 or 5 bedrooms. Meaning that you and your guests are not all required to share bedrooms. Perfect if you are travelling as a group of singles or if you are travelling with children of varying ages.

If you are coming to the Lakes to cycle, we recommend you choose one of our properties with free bike storage. As a popular sport for many of our guests, lots of our owners have made sure there is adequate space to safely store your treasured bikes. Either in a locked storage container or shed; or indoors.

Many of our properties also come with ‘boot rooms’ or ‘tack rooms’. Perfect for those wet or snowy days when you won’t want to walk wet clothes and shoes through the property. Plus laundry facilities, including washing machines, tumble dryers or both.

You may also want to look at our properties with games rooms, including: table tennis, darts and pool tables. Or outdoor facilities, such as swimming pools, hot-tubs and tennis courts. Create your own week long championships and crown your Lake District Cup winner at the end of the week.

For an exhilarating day out, either individually or as part of a group, why not try a Kankku 4×4 self-drive, off-roading experience. Experience the Lakeland fells, as you have never seen them before, while you power your way across the bumpy, mountainous terrain. Even better, Lakelovers’ holidaymakers can enjoy exclusive discounts with Kankku, when you show your “I’m a Lakelover” keyfob; located on your property keys. We recommend that you book ahead in the busy months to avoid disappointment.

If you are travelling with children, there are lots of fantastic places to visit, suitable for various age groups. Children of all ages, even the ones who have retired now, will love a day out at The World of Beatrix Potter. Open all year round and with both indoor and outdoor activities, here you can learn all about the life of Beatrix Potter. Step inside the world of her most famous creations; Peter Rabbit and his friends. Enjoy 3D interactive shows, take a walk through Mr McGregors garden and at the end of the day grab yourself a coffee, cake and souvenir at the café and gift shop.

Older children will love some of the more active attractions, such as Ambleside Climbing Wall, or the high wire at Go Ape; hidden within the Grizedale Forest.  There are also some lovely parks in and around the Lake District, such as The Glebe in Bowness-on-Windermere. Conveniently located right next to the Bowness Pier, this park is extremely popular on beautiful days, for playing games of football or throwing Frisbees. The park also has a wonderfully sculptured bandstand that hosts many bands through the tourist season.

With properties available all across the Lakes, from pet friendly cottages in Lakeside,; to log cabins in Ambleside; former homes of Lake District icons, such as Wordworth and Arthur Ransome, and luxury rural barn conversions; you are spoiled for choice with a Lakelovers holiday.
